There is a guy who lives in the bungalow opposite us who has a WW2 anti-shipping mine with his house name painted on it adjacent to the road and fires blanks from his 2" bore brass cannon every midday. I wonder if the PA knows my neighbour and decided to go one better..!

Funnily enough, we didnt use any of those sea forts for any of our references. It was mostly nautical things and garden sheds.
