Is there a pose / expression converter fron G8F to G3F? I see it from G3F to G8F but not G8F to G3F.

Pose Convertor does, if you read the description, offer pose conversion both ways: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-to-genesis-8-pose-converter
As does Ultimate Pose Mixer (although on an on the fly basis) - a menu option will apply a correction to the selected figure.
This freebie purportedly will convert between any generation of Genesis figure, but I've not tested all the combinations myself: https://www.sharecg.com/v/89846/browse/8/Script/Daz3d-Pose-Converter-Standalone
As far as expressions, however, I don't know.
I think the geometry may be too different to convert expression. There are many pose converters both free and pay for play.
This one works really well for G8 to G3 pose conversions. G1 or G2 to G3 generally works, but varies depending on the pose set. I haven't tried the othewr combinations.
Edit: it also does batch conversions.
I love it, does a great job. The only flaw is that it ignores the root of the figure, which is often used to place the figure in an environment.
I will add my 2 cents as to how good this one is. I have used it when making sets. Start on G3 and then use the converter to make temp pose files for G8. I say temp cause it wont be perfect but it allows me to quickly apply the pose to G8 so I can make the needed adjustments and save out a new version.
Yes I know I am necroing this thread.
With SharCG now gone does anyone know if this free pose converter has been made available elsewhere? If so, has it been updated for Genesis 9?
Well, n_alexandru has done a conversion script (see Rendo & freestuff here), I've done a G8->G9 pose transfer script (including face poses https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/598316/g8f-m-pose-transfer-to-g9/p1) and
David GB wrote a G3->G8 pose correction script (https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/77430/g3-g8-pose-adjust-scripts) so it corrects G8 after a G3 pose has been applied. The script is easy to convert in a text editor to be used to correct the pose when a G8 pose is applied to G3. Full details of what to edit below. The changes apply to the 'G3F G8F Pose Adjust - Full.dsa' script. The lower 2 changes apply to the arms, the upper 2 to the legs. The same corrections are required for the arms/legs scripts supplied by DavidGB in the same download, but only 2 changes in each.
4th Line after 'beginUndo();' change line from oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot + 6 ); to oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot - 6 );
8th Line after 'beginUndo();' change line from oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot - 6 ); to oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot + 6 );
12th Line after 'beginUndo();' change line from oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot - 45 ); to oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot + 45 );
16th Line after 'beginUndo();' change line from oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot + 45 ); to oZRotCtrl.setValue( nZRot - 45 );
There are only 4 text characters to change (in red above). Save file as 'G8 Pose on G3 Correction.dsa' and it's ready to use. After this, apply the G8 pose to G3, keep the character selected and apply this pose correction script to the selected character. There may be issues if limits are on and the character hits those limits with the G8 pose - this can be solved by putting character limits to OFF before applying the G8 pose. The script applies to G3F and G3M. The reason why I'm not publishing the modified script as a whole (and saving you typing) is because it would be against DavidGB's copyright.

Richard
