    I gotta say though, that this bundle has more possibilities that any that I have seen in quite a while... Kudos to all the artist involved.

    Anyone know of any more bundles as flexible and with as many "possibilites"?

    I agree. I think this should have been Bullwarg 8. The Centaur 7/8 bundles have good support, and Ollie 8 has even more, but Bullwarg definitely has his own niche and a lot of interesting variety in shapes and skins. There aren't many monsters in the store with Bullwarg's sense of identity.

    He's like the Ysabeau 6 of fat monsters. Whatever happened to that whole mini-release idea, anyway?

    I hope there is more like this, especially when you get good work from some of the better monster artists in the store on the same base figure.

    So seeing some creative uses of the skins, I tried my hand at applying Milk's skin to dial-spun Ashan 8 based alien. Here's the result:

    Now, apart from a small spot by the side of the neck which I post-worked out, it looks better than I anticipated. That particular spot was a hidden crook in Bullwarg's model, so it is noticeable once you add it to a different character.

    How I got this result:

    1. I replaced Milk's spec maps and with Ashan 8's and got rid of the normal maps since I'm using Ashan's HD Add-on.
    2. I left Ashan's eyes, teeth, and mouth alone in regards to textures.
    3. Last but not least, I applied Ashan 8 skin settings. So basically, I'm only using Milk's Diffuse and Translucency maps.

    Ok, here's the result of my experiment in applying all of Bullwarg's Alternate Skins as previously stated onto a human[oid] character.

    Clicking on the image should take you to the gallery entry where you can enlarge it for more detail. I've also added all the credits (characters, morphs, etc.) used.

    • With Banded, I used the Overlay Maps on the emission Luminace Channels and the Translucency maps on the Emission Channel to get the result on the right.
    • With Tree, I applied the Dirt LIE Iray Preset from Battle Ready to get the result on the right. I also applied the emissive eyes preset from this pack on all the results, simply changing the emission temperature to match each skin.

    I saved all of these as material presets for my personal use. But let me know if you'd like them and I can package them up for sharing. Just keep in mind that you'll need at least Ashan 8 skin. I also switched Ashan's eyes for Vernon HD's eyes and simply applied the emissive preset from Battle Ready on top, so if you use the presets and don't have those products, you'll get a message. But you could always apply any other creature's eyes in your arsenal/runtime.

    hahah Cute! :D I would have probably put him on a larger lilypad, as some of the dance moves take him off of the small one(s) he's standing on. Other than that though, it's really cute and well done. :) Nice!

    I do like everyone's renders BTW I just find the idea of human reproductive and mammary anatomy on a bullfrog a bit disturbing blush dressed anthropomorphicly is fine.

    I agree!  I usually don't buy bundles that have such a high percentage of poses, but Bullwarg and the add-ons are so unique.  It was a refreshing surprise in the Daz product line-up.

    Except it's a fantasy creature and not a bullfrog. He has well-defined pecs, and Sluggo has definite "man-boobage" going on, but you don't seem to find that "disturbing". They're both part of human anatomy, not frog anatomy, you have to wonder why you find one disturbing but not have any issue with the other. :)

    I have more important things to worry about than if frogs, toads, slugs etc can have penises and breasts laugh

    it's your art, do as you wish, some will like it others not so much but all opinions are valid devil

    I have disgreed on how RAWart's tails for example are connected too, that also is his artistic choice, or the old heels on armour discussion, boob plates etc

    I'm LOVING using the different Bullwarg skins for aliens. The creature morphs are always plentiful, but skins to go with them are usually on the less plentiful side. So having gotten both Gero and the Bullwarg Alternative Skins products I now have a LOT more great options when it comes to alien races and creatures! :) Here I used the Arrow skin with a Banded overlay but changed the overlay color to a dark blue.

    With the tails, it is not just artistic choice..there are also limitations to what can be done with a mesh.

    Fantasy creatures should also not be compared to real world physiology...the only real considerations that need to be made are believable muscle groups and bone structure that have been properly thought out to work with the actual shape. Beyond that, debating the workings of their biology is entirely personal opinion and there is no real answer right or wrong.
