I wish DAZ re-create V4-M4 fugure with Morph on Duf files format . To quit using poser files .
people still use V4-M4 .

They already did this years ago. But if you want seamless integration with M4/V4 wardrobe, then you still need to use the Generation 4 figures.
i need by figure base itself .
The base figures wouldn't be the only ones requiring conversion, all morphs packs and custom characters from Daz and other vendors would have to be updated with DS-format files too, as the poser version wouldn't work with the new figure. And if morphs are updated, people will expect materials updates too.
Clothes, poses and all other content would also need to be updated if the plan is to quit using poser files.
Besides, a lot of people who still use V4 use her in Poser, and that version wouldn't work in Poser. So vendors would have to create their new products in both formats if they want to sell them to all V4/M4 users.
Basically, not a chance. Way too much work involved for very little return.
I use V4-M4.(and even Generation 3 and 2 figures)
Exclusively in Poser; I rarely use Studio.
I still buy V4-M4 content I missed, to use in Poser.
I rarely buy DAZ-only content at all.
Whatever you do with V4-M4 content, please keep it Poser-compatible.
not need to update clothes and poses . we used in poser format . just we only figure and all morph .
M4/V4 is based on old poser tech, so exactly what would be the benefit of doing this when the majority of paying customers is on Genesis technology? As a previous poster said that the closest would be to use Genesis 1 with the M4/V4 shapes. That takes the skins as well and you could make your duf files from it. With GenX to copy your Gen4 morphs, that would be your solution.
Just wishing for something doesn't automatically make it viable, especially when what you're asking for already exists.
Except that to save the figure in .duf format they would proably need to convert the figure to weightmapping.
It probably would have been good enough to just not make it stop working. When I installed DAZ Studio on a newer computer, I had no idea all my old scene files would just be block figures with no shape, or invisible figures because something wasn't carried over. Richard Haseltine had explained that there was some thing everybody did in the big transition to keep all their old stuff working. But at that time, I had gotten pissed at DAZ and jumped ship to Poser. By the time I came back, they were on Genesis 3. So I missed that big transition. I know Victoria 4 doesn't do all that fancy new stuff but some of the characters were very pretty.
V4 and M4 still works perfectly well in DS.
You're probably missing some of the technical files saved from your old scenes though. Just transfering the scenes files is not enough to have them working on a new computer, you need the files from the "data" folder too, for example.
When you use a Poser character in DazStudio and save it as a scene, DazStudio puts files into a data/auto_adapted folder. If you can find that folder on your old computer and copy it over, your scenes will work.
Or you can identify all those Poser characters in a scene that is loading with those block shapes, so you can load them again (without posing or anything) and save as a scene, so DazStudio creates those files again.
Possible, however it have no sense ¿What is the purpose to change the format in the figure if the result would need two or three clicks extra to fit clothes in the best case?
In other hand, saving a figure as duf don't do it automagically an improved figure taking advantage of the new technology. To improve a figure rigging must be improved, to improved rigging an suitable mesh must be constructed, then if we love an old figure the new improved mesh can be shaped in the shape of the beloved old figure.
The product is in stores already or can be created with other products. The new rigged improved mesh are the genesis (some better than other depending on the requirements and tastes of buyers) the shapes to match the beloved V4/M4 figure are "V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis", "Generation 4 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2", and converters of shapes for Genesis 3 and Genesis 8, For textures, those are native in genesis, and UVs or legazy UVs can be purchased for Genesis 2, 3 and 8. Even I saw a V4-UV for genesis 8 female in another store. Daz studio have a complete system to convert clothes to genesis. Morph can be converted too.
If an improvement in rigging is not required then is unlikey that DAZ or a PAs spend time in a simple duf conversion that breaks functionality without add value.
¿Somebody remember the weightmaped V4? this one had a certain added value, but...
