Why can't this sale ever fall on the first week of the month? I have money then.

Because Daz is intent on teaching you how to budget your money ....
(don't fall off your chair laughing TOO hard at that
)
Is it sad when you click on the link to bring up the products included in the sale and nothing is left on your wishlist to buy? LOL.
I think that is what they refer to as a, "First World Problem"!
... but don't feel bad though - I have had a few sales groups be that way too! (mostly the ones of RNDA products... but still) Definitely makes me wish I had not spent so much yesterday... (sigh)
How good is the compatibility between G3 and G8 (using any tool that is available for such purpose)? I'm beginning to build my library and I see a ton of props, hair, poses, etc. from G3 that could help, even some of them that don't have a direct equivalent for G8, but I'm not sure about purchasing something that will not be useful on the long term.
Thanks!
Compatibility is reasonable between G3 and G8, at least with the right convertors; hair and clothing can often be done simply by overriding the scene identification, poses need conversion (but there are free convertors), and G3 and G8 use the same skin layouts and there are morph transferring tools, so *mostly* things can be made to work.
Geografts may be a problem, but can sometimes be sorted.
I'm just starting here and only a few items poped from my wishlist. Non are priority. When i started i decided to go G8 instead of G3.
There are still some interesting things, like a lot of i13 stuff. But i would have loved they included the bundles or at least the "rooms", those are the parts i have more interest from them.
I guess i could see if there are some hairs i like that are usually not hard to use on G8. Clothes i'm thinking not that easy but doable. I would prefer to avoid the tools for convertion, not because i found them bad or expensive just because i think they are more usefull when one has already invested a TON in previous generation so it would make more sense having it.
Still i think this is a good promo, same as yesterday. So keep it Up Daz!
Just shoes and boots are problematic in general. No idea about geografts I'm afraid. Everything else is reasonably interchangable (You might want a conversion tool from the store, as manual conversion can be a little elaborate, but those will handle most of the stuff.).
I love the Carpet Shaders - Persian Rugs so much but I am broke
Don't need any tools; in fact, I'd say don't use any as it's better to change settings. The only exception is morphs, but even there, if the exist in both generations they can be done - spending a little time.
Compatability is basically the same. I move stuff to G8 all the time, rarely the other way, but either way is without issues.
As has been mentioned, footwear can be an issue.
Ok, looks very good for the most part.
Thank you all for the answers!
Why is that?
...+1
Different number of bones from generation to generation thwards autofit. In humans, 25% of your bones are in your feet. Even minor differences in how figures are rigged add up to big changes in the directions that feet bend.
