Thank you for this.
You seem pretty knowledgable on octane, decided to mess about with it tonight, having some trouble. I am attempting to use fibermesh brows, but for some reason they just won't show up in octane render at all. Any clue what might be happenning there?
Iray materials do not play well in other render engines. Iray materials brought into Octane will act odd, the same goes for iray light.
If your materials are not showing, you need to select the item in the items list in Octane, and then click-drag an octane material to the item to replace it with.
Is there a setting in preferences or elsewhere to tell Octane to automatically convert Iray mats and skins etc to Octane?
I don't think it's a material issue after experimenting more this morning. Some brows show up, some won't. On the ones that won't show I tried putting random DB materials on it, copying the material from brows that work, nothing seems to make them show up. Example of ones that don't work, the ones that come from 3du heidi, one that does work, the one from SC Olivia. If anyone wants to bring it up at otoy forums, it won't let me post there after siging up enough places to get the plugin lol.
