Daz install manager crashes when I try to load content

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Any time I try to load content through DIM it crashes and I get the report that's in the attachment. I have been waiting on an answer from Daz for 3 weeks. I am a solid custome rbut I had to manually load my content so my directories are screwed. All I want is my content to be on an external harddrive. I have emailed them about help with this also. All of the tutorials out there make it seem harder than what it is also. PLEASE HELP ME SOMONE.

    Sent you a response on Facebook. Looks like it's a Windows problem with external hard drive and memory management.

    ... and a same request was made by somebody over at Reddit, I mentioned it looked to me like the Operating System guarding the program folders.

    Install Manager used to run perfectly on my Win7 system for months, but since yesterday I have a similar problem:

    DAZ3DIM.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1\QtCore4.dll" at 0033:0000000066C74FDD, QMetaObject::addGuard()+157 byte(s)

    I intended to upload the crash log to product support at https://www.daz3d.com/redirects/bugs.php , but this address is not functional.

    Done.

     

    Edit:  Using CHKDSK on my external USB3 HD (NTFS) resulted in "No problems found". But the crashes are gone.
