Well, I have a banner. I see it is a Tiger Den, now that Cloudflare has cuaght up. Not in need of a cat, but I know many want one. Sorry to have raised hopes

mimic configuration files for the updated Housecat and dog 8 would be lovely though enlightened

I can facially animate them other ways but Mimic live and the 32bit lipsync plugin needs a dmc and one cannot make one with morphs under actor not head!

Yeah, the banner got my hopes up for a new cat for about half a second...

Meh. Took the opportunity to get Big Cat 2 anyway. It cost me for the stylers and layouts, but I needed those regardless.

    Because I suck at scripting.

Hivewire cat is currently for free, just FYI.

I read, "Since you own "Daz Big Cat 2," and I was. Bloody hell, I do?

Would love a new cat. One of the few things I'll buy on day one.

yes I manually move the morphs to the head but that is only good for my own use

I tried exporting HCat as a CR2, then opening it in Mimic Pro, loading the mildog DMC file. I had hoped to edit (hack) the DMC file in this way. I bombed royally. Maybe somebody more familiar with Mimic Pro than I am might have better luck. Or not.

An alternative would be to use HCat for body animation only. Since the scale is corrected, it makes aniblocks easier to use. Then, use MilCat and Lip Sync for closeup facial speaking. A tad klugey, but workable.

I'll take a look at this morph alias thing. If Anilip could do auto facial feature animation, I might not bother trying to do this.

wy can't you share a morph alias package?

it only points to the original morph, doesn't need to include it ??

...yeah, we still have one that's 15 years old with the only updates being dForce fur and it no longer loads in at the size of a Great Dane.

Meanwhile there have been 2 dogs, 2 horses, 3 dragons, 2 cows.(one a morph for Horse 2) and even new fish.

We need a cat that can be posed like this:

Recently I spotted my cat drinking out of the toilet. I'd never seen any cat do it before. I don't think I could do it if I was him.

  • I think cats are more flexible than computer models of cats can be.

And possibly more ridiculous. This morning we had our cat Rooster shepherd a Ring Collar Dove around the side garden about 20 times before the Dove got bored and flew off.

    Regards,

    Richard.

A new cat nobody knew about...? Sometimes they come with sofas.

Decades ago a friend of mine brought home a sofa that him and his roommates found in the street... later that day I happened to come over saw the sofa... said "new sofa?"... and then I noticed a cat too... so I commented "so you got a cat too?"... I think he said something like "no it just smells like it"... the cat disappeared under some junk and nothing was mentioned again since I left soon after.

A couple of days later my friend calls and asks me where the cat came from, since I was the first one who noticed it and it took two or three days for other people in the apartment to notice it too...

The consensus was it was a sofa cat.

We already knew someone else whose junk sofa came with a cat, so that was the best guess...

They sort of adopted it, they fed it, befriended it... it had the freedom to leave anytime it wanted, but it stayed around for a year or two, mostly living in the sofa... eventually it went out and never came back... I like to think it won the lottery and took off for Hawaii to pursue its dreams of owning a charter helicopter service and helping solve crimes on the side... and not the story my friend told his little sister about it moving to a farm.

The other sofa cat which belonged to different friend... was "interesting" too, that cat was a real character and lived almost exclusively in the sofa.

But that's not all, an old girlfriend back then got a used sofa from her friend... it came with a cat too... but they didn't have a cat... Apparently the friend's brother dropped off the sofa in front of the house and it took a whole day before someone (me and my girlfriend's brother) could bring the sofa upstairs... so we assumed it absorbed the cat while sitting outside.

Apparently in NYC if you leave sofas outside long enough they collect cats. Or maybe sofas are like a cat Tardis or some sort of cat Instant Matter Transporter? Or cat Vanishing Cabinet... ? There has to be something going on in them... because if you take apart a sofa, most don't have much room under/ inside them... maybe in the armrests, depending on the design... so seriously unless breaking one up destroys the magic spell, there's something weird going on... the odds of knowing three people whom this happened to is kinda slim unless all sofas come with cats and most people just don't notice them.
