Translation Issues with V4 characters in DAZ 4.12 Studio Pro

I'm noticing, for the first time....as I can recall, when I choose a V4 character and move it to another location with the the translation slider...the character pose becomes distorted, like the top of the body starts to move, and the  hips tilt, and the legs sort of drag, and then catch up but not quite...

I don't think this is a good thing...sometimes choosing the characters hip joint first helps, other times I have to assign  the character to it's own group, and then move it.

This is a pain...

When did this feature get added to DAZ?

This probably means that V4 has some areas pinned, maybe the feet or parts of the legs, and so it is trying to apply some measure of IK (Inverse Kinematics)

If you move the characters by changing the X and/or Z sliders under the parameter tab, you will not see this "drag" affect.

Alternatively you can disable IK for the figure under Edit->Figure->Inverse Kinematics

Actually...I do see it when using the X,Y,Z sliders under parameters....however...if I hit CNTRL-Z and use the slider a second time it seems to work....usually...

Yes, it looks like  IK is being loaded, by default, on the hands and feet of the V4 characters when I load them....

Is this new? I don't rememer this from previous DAZ releases....

The result is the character poses go south if you select the character in the scene list and try to move them to a different location...

Just select the character, expand the root node and delete the (probably( 4 IK nodes you'll see.
