Canceling Platinum - Immediate or not? Clarification needed

Hey all,

I hate automatic renewals when buying, so I tried searching for cancellation but can only find conflicting confirmation.

I bought the PC membership for the first time, annual plan, Paypal.

If I want to cancel it, does my PC membership run until its expiration date, or is the PC status removed from the account immediately?

Different threads allude to it being removed immediately, while others say it runs until its expiration date. I also realize that I have to remove the annual payment from PayPal too

I would obviously expect it to be active until the paid time runs out, but this not happening already caught me by surprise with other services and I definitely don't want to repeat that.

    If you don't want to renew your subscription then  you do indeed need to remove the aotomatic sb from PayPal,  if that was how you paid.

    To be absolutely certain on how cancellation works I suggest that you file a Help Ticket     BTW,  when you visit that page do remember to sign in  (Top right hand corner) otherwise you will get caught by a captcha.

    Cancellation is immediate. If what you want to do is avoid automatic renewal, you need to uncheck the "auto-renew" option on the "platinum club" page in "my account" section, as well as remove the subscription on paypal side.

    I can't find the "auto-renew" option.

    My only options are to change the billing info and "cancel subscription".

    auto-renew or not is on your Platinum Club Plus page {the one that shows the coupons}.

    Whatever you do don't cancel the sub.  Please do have a word with Customer Service by filing a ticket before you do anything else.

    How do I cancel my Platinum Club+ Membership?

    In order to cancel your PC+ Membership please go to your account page, click the Platinum Club+ icon, then click cancel subscription. If you are paying via credit card, this is all you need to do.


    ***PLEASE NOTE***

    If you are paying via PayPal you will need to cancel your PayPal subscription on your PayPal account as well, or it will continue to charge you. This is stated during the cancellation process and we also send a email reminding you to cancel at PayPal.

    PayPal 

    Log in to your PayPal account.

     

    1. Log in to your PayPal account. 

    2. Click the Profile (gear) icon next to "Log out." 

    3. Click Preapproved Payments. 

    4. Select the payment, and then click Cancel and follow the instructions.

    There are no refunds on Platinum Club Subscriptions. You may cancel your membership at any time. If you do not wish to auto-renew you will need to cancel your Membership beforehand. PayPal users must cancel at PayPal as well. If you cancel your membership you will remain in Platinum Club+ until your membership expiration date.

    Well it definitely used to be immediate, I suppose they changed that.

    It's actually more logical that way, since you've paid till expiration date you should keep the benefits.

    Thanks - I did that now. I still have access to the PC+ forums, discounts and my coupons are still there.

    The only thing I realized is that on "Checkout" there is no information on how much I "saved" because of PC+. I never paid much attention to it, so I would love if someone could give me a heads up: I randomly put "Aaliyah HD for Genesis 8 Female" into the cart and at checkout it tells me $4.19. Is that true for other PC+ members?

    I do that often. I get some sort of Premium/Plus/Platinum/Gold/wtahever with a renewal far in the future, and to prevent forgetting about it and then being charged for a lot of money at an unexpected time, I cancel the subscription. I can always renew if I want to. I did the same with DAZ PC+, I got a year and a half of PC+, and I wouldn't want it to renew automatically. I will rather look for a good deal next year. If one is offered, I am definitely going to renew.

    I am still a PC+ member, and I still have access to all the perks, special deals, freebies, sales, coupons, etc.
