VYK Thana for Genesis 8 Female question
in The Commons
ok i really liked the new "products in sales they really look interesting all the new cloths and we get 2 bundles at same time which is very good, but one of the products caught me a little confuse with his "promo images"
https://www.daz3d.com/vyk-thana-for-genesis-8-female
in the promo pictures is showed a "outfits" as if it's part of the bundle
![]()
but when i looked to the character included features it's don't display the outfit, then it make the promo confuse, because if the outfits is not part of the product then that image of the outfit alone was not supposed to be there.
then my question is the outfit is part or no of the product????

I'd guess its the
thats listed in the whats included
I think it is part of the product. It looks like it's in the list of items as "1 Fantasy Geoshell Second Skin Outfit In 5 Material Combinations."
I'm curious to know what the white dress she's wearing in the promo is supposed to be. It's not listed in the "other files" section.
I can see why it would be confusing if you're unfamiliar with geoshells & their uses. The item in question is shown the way you would typically expect an object having its own geometry to be illustrated in a promo image. Yes, it uses a geoshell with textures & cutout opacity maps to achieve something similar to using object(s) having their own geometry fitted to a character base. One of the drawbacks to using geoshells is they follow the underlying geometry exactly as it is, which is not always desirable.
Probably because it was either custom made by the PA or they purchased it from a different source(i.e. Renderosity just to name an example). If the latter were the case, then I wouldn't expect it to be listed or even mentioned casually in the promo.
That's what I'm thinking, myself, but I'd still like to know. ;)
Pretty sure the dress might be this one:

They may have turned off the shoulder ruffles.
yeah after read again it's looks like it, but again this means which this "geoshell" is not a proper mesh" i means if i try to "export" outside daz it not proper ""rigged" to the base mesh" , outside daz i means, if you try to "anime" the geoshell will work as a "not rigged mesh then don't follow the base mesh "animation" in a proper way, i'm say that because that is the experience i've ended getting from centaur which also had a "geoshell" and it don't worked outside daz, i had to export without the "geoshell", the max i can do is "apply the "texture" direct to the mesh if the geoshell texture is compatible with the base mesh uv, which is normally how i've ben testing with geoshell and working outside daz.
I do believe you've found it!
Sweet. :)
