Just going by the product description and images, it almost looks like geometry that has morphs and/or rigging applied to alter the shape. The effects are probably trans-maps applied to this geometry. I'm not sure what would limit it to Studio or Poser, unless there are specialized shader functions, which more than likely are handled differently (although probably just as well) in Carrara.

If I had Studio and an unlimited amount of money, it would be interesting to get some of these products and try and get them to work in Carrara. Better yet, maybe save some dough and make my own based on how I think they work. ;-)

I am almost at the end of my misc budget (LOL) looking at a few new systems, I am trying to do most of my work on a quad core 16gig, 17.3 HP laptop, its getting old fast, lol

  • I’ve been trying to create character animations in Carrara, but I keep running into the same issue the body moves fine with mocap or AniBlocks, but the face just looks blank and lifeless. It’s like they’re dead from the neck up. I see comics on https:newtoki.co and the characters always look so full of life — expressive, emotional, everything just clicks. But when I try to draw like that, mine don’t come close. Anyone else struggled with this? How do you bring that same energy into your own work?
