Eyes stuck in one position...HELP!

Has anyone had a situation where the eyes on a figure was stuck in one position and you couldn't rotate them no matter what?

Yep.  I've seen that with joints and limbs, also.  I honestly don't know the fix, I think it has something to do with the actual bones instead of movement morphs, like something got translated away from "default".

I usually first try coins something like right-clicking on "head" in the scene pane, select all children, then resetting selected items back to default.

If that doesn't work, you can reset the whole figure.

Ive had where that didn't work, either, and I'm not sure what the fix is...

  • Okay...I will try that.

In some cases it can be due to gimbal lock - the axes of rotation are listed in an order, adjustign earlier ones moves the later ones and can lead to two axes overkapping and no way to rotate in another axis. Another possible issue is having the Point At parameter set to a target - that will override the non-twist rotations. It's also possible to have the viewport gizmo fail to respond, I assume it's related to the angle of view because tweaking the camera usually frees it up.
