Eiluned HD For Genesis 8 Female - skin crinkles in model or texture?

I really like the slightly spotty skin of Eiluned HD For Genesis 8 Female. It's just what I want for a teen character. However, there are some weird crinkles under the eyes/on the cheeks. Not sure whether they're deliberately there and meant to be scarring or not. Does anyone know if these are part of the skin texture, or whether they're some kind of unintentional artefact from the underlying model that will not appear if I use the skin on another model?

Those are HD details on the model.  They show up even on when the model is grey-shaded.

Thanks Sevrin. So they will definitely appear in this character whether she has her own skin or any other.

However, since they are evidently deliberate I wonder whether there are also corresponding features built into the overlying texture in the same places, that would therefore appear if I used her skin on a different character. Anyone know?

Without experimenting, thinking out loud here, if this is part of the HD portion of the textures would turning down the SubD level at render time mitigate this?

Turning down SubD would help, but as I suspected, I think it's that the promo lighting was a little harsh (and super close up on her face).

Here's a render with decent lighting. Looks good to me!

Ok, I'm an idiot. I didn't notice there IS an HD Detail dial, that I didn't have on.

So, here she is. She looks very acne scarred and I know I've seen teens who have skin like this. The good news is that if you don't like it, you can dial out HD to get the previous image.

Thanks Oso3D - that's very helpful. Would you have a moment to do a close up of the face where a different model - say just the ordinary Genesis 8 female - is wearing Eiluned's skin? Would really appreciate seeing what it looks like if you have a chance. Thanks.

Here's BJ Amira (base shape, no HD; also corneal bulge morph) with Eiluned skin:

I like the character, and those 'real-world' effects.

    Nice hair Oso3D. :)

That's great Oso3D - thanks so much. Really appreciate your help.

Looks like this will work well for what I want. Into the basket she goes!

I was confused at the apparent age of this character as I had assumed she was a teen going through the acne phase that pretty much every teen goes through. But then there's the odd ripples under her eyes that even my 60yo mother doesn't have so I dunno. But then her actual facial structure still points to teen so again, I dunno, lol. Then the makeup...again, teen. *shrugs*

Maybe she slept funny on a corduroy sofa cushion?

Those ripples seem to me like acne scarring.

I don't think that would be acne scarring. That's not a typical spot for that much acne, and it doesn't look like that kind of scarring to me. I have seen that, though not quite that extreme. Those are just protruding glands. They might fluctuate depending on hormones and things, but for some people they can just be like that. And one more thing, acne is not exclusively a teenage thing, it can happen at any age. You guys are way too obsessed with age. This girl could be a teen, but she could totally be in her late 20s, too. Her HD shape could easily pass for well beyond 30. So just call whatever age you want.

On a side note, Yandex is getting scary good. I reverse image searched the picture from the first post, which has no text.

"This looks like a picture of.......DAZ 3D......poser........DAZ Studio". A number of other isourcetextures models show up in the related results, too, which is really impressive.

The 2 Russian results translate to "girl" and "sims 4 fashion hairstyles" HA! Ok, that last one is a bit off. But 4 out of 5 solid suggestions is pretty good.
