Is it me, or are the ears just way too far apart?

    They are, and they aren't.

The ears of a rabbit align with the sides of the skull. So technically they're too close together on bunny girl: it's just that the human skull is wide.

Her ears also aren't anywhere near as fat as a real rabbit's ears. Rabbits use those ears for hearing, they have to be stiff and aimable, hence the width.

Ok....look at your image....look at the gap between the ears....  ().()    not  ()........()

Unfortunately , I cant squish the skull enought to make it look like a rabbit....It's more like a Bat...

I tried to bring it into ZBrush...but no dice...

    Depends really.

There is no such thing as a humanoid rabbit, so any visualisation is down to personal preference and artistic interpreation.

Either of the images you post are correct; you prefer the image on the right. Neither has validity over the other, aprart from when considering the previous paragraph I wrote.

I'm curious. Why are you unhappy with the ears, but happy with the eyes of a predetor and not that of a prey, like a rabbits are?

The obvious answer for me, is artistic interpretation. :)

Having played with similar stuff (otter, dog, cat), there is always a tension and conflict between contrasting demands and designs.

A human skull isn't organized like otter, dog, cat, or rabbit skulls, and at some point you have to decide how to try to make something that inspires a look while working with the limitations you have.

MAB and WillDupre have a style where the head is fairly on the human side of the range. The ears are about where a rabbit's would be on the skull, but as several folks pointed out, the skull is much wider.

If you move the ears closer together on top of the skull... well, personally, it looks weird to me as something natural vs. wearing a headpiece.

    So, what can you do.

Kudos, MAB and WillDupre, on another fun anthro product bundle!

I think I was going for the look of the Character made famous by Final Fantasy...Just had it in mind when I started this...

    No real...important reason...  XD

I know you are right...honestly.. I think I was influenced by the desire to achive a look in my head, more than practicality...

Ultimately I was able to make an image I'm happy with...so all good in the end...

Instead of photoshop, couldn't you have made a morph for the ears in Zbrush?

I tried, but on re-import DAZ rejected the morph...saying the topology had changed even though all I used was a move brush....

Bought it this year b/c it states to be compatible with Genesis 8.1. Well, no the fur is not compatible with 8.1 thanks to the lack of a script that takes the new surfaces into account.

You could parent them to the head instead of using autofit.

You could try this script. It tricks other scripts into thinking a G8.1 is a G8.

The problem here isn't that it can be tricked and that there are some hoops someone could jump through. The problem is, that it is advertised as natively Genesis 8.1 compatible which it clearly isn't when it doesn't recognise the new "body" and "head" surfaces. I'm pretty aware that I can force the fur on the surfaces one way or another and with a pure Genesis 8 product I wouldn't mind that. But with a Genesis 8.1 product, it is a different case I would say.
