Looking For Some Knight Statues or Armours
in The Commons
Trying to build an armor room with armored statues holding all sorts of weapons kind of like this:
Sadly my computer is really outdated so it's impossible to just use shaders on multiple figures with the armours on or even instancing (because of the variety of poses needed).
Can anyone please point to me some (preferrably low poly) knight statues or armours with various poses (holding weapons up, down, kneeling one knee, on a horse, etc.) that are available in the store or somewhere else with an affordable price? Thanks!

Just buy any suit of armor for a character, there are several in the store including many that are quite cheap. Fit this to the character, and then hide the figure. You can then use any character pose you want to pose the figure, which will pose the armor as you require.
Note that a lot of the medieval armor in the store is more fantasy, than based of a historical suit of armor. Here is one I would recommend, as it is reasonably historically accurate:

You can also do the same trick for horse armor. Buy any of the sets available for Horse 2, fit it, and then hide the horse. You would need to then add some sort of wooden frame to support the armor in the absence of the horse.

some of the old suits of armour for generation 4 characters would probably look fine as statues. All you need are some iray shaders to get them rendering with iray

There's also https://www.daz3d.com/mick-armory, for which the armours should be usable without the base (I'm not sure of the polygon count as it's about the only one of the series I don't own).

If your computer is short of memory, after fitting the armor to the figure, and posing the figure, you can then convert the armour to a prop. Now save the armor as a prop, delete both that and the figure from your scene, and then reload the prop you saved. This will significantly reduce the memory needed by your scene. Repeat this with each pose you need.
Thank you guys. Will probably try the prop route and see how it goes.
