DAZ Studio Won't Stop Generating Desktop Icons - HELP!

Every time I open DAZ Studio 4.12.1 Beta - every single image I have on my desktop gets a thumbnail copy made of it, that is labeled "icon".  If I have 200 images on the desktop, I end up with 400 images, half of which are of no use and I have to continously delete them.  I'm on a Macbook 16" running Catalina.

I need it to stop.  It's driving me nuts.

    why are you saving your renders to your desktop?

    that is not the default path

    1) go to render library tab, and remove the entry that has your desktop as a render library. Anytime you open daz, it will generate icons for every image file in any directory mapped as a render library.

    2) to save renders to desktop, click on the icon in render window to the left of render library that looks like a poloroid, and choose the folder icon. Then navigate to desktop.

     

    I made that same mistake before, drove me batshit for a few weeks, I did not realize it was daz that was putting all that on my desktop lol

    Ya, that goofy Render Library thing got me too for a few days.  A bunch of other newness on a new system, so took a bit to track down.

    Should be an option to NOT generate icons, just leave any render entries as is.
