Questions about Powerpose
in The Commons
Hi, I have a couple questions about using Powerpose.
The first question is does pinning works on Powerpose? Now I have seen two kinds of pins, one pin is from universal tool and another is from active pose.
What are their difference?
I want to use pinning on Powerpose because sometimes when you move down the mouse in the window, the hand may vibrate, making the subtle left and right move of the mouse.
The same applies to when you move left the mouse, you may also accidently move up the mouse. Is there a way to prevent that?
Thanks.

I wish I could figure powerpose out. I think I got too used to manually maniputating the individual bones and using ActivePose.
I recently started trying out powerpose. Until now I find that powerpose is good as you can manipulate all 3 sliders of a bone at once, instead of individually. You also don't need to know in which direction each slider goes to be able to manipulate it (biggest difference that comes to mind right now is between collar bone and shoulder).
I haven't tried pinning yet but from what I have seen, it should work on powerpose too.
I don't understand your problem though kar98kdasini. If you don't press any mouse button, any movement you do won't influence the bones in any way. If you want to restrict the movement only one on direction, I don't know if you can. If you only want to move one bone, the easiest answer would be to use the sliders if you want only one direction. If you want to move multiple bones at once, just readjust the mouse while the mouse button is still pressed to find the desired position.
Yes, I was talking about jittering, therefore powerpose is not for minor tweaks which should be done by sliders.
What's the bone movement icon on top you mentioned? Is it active pose?
Also, it should be ctrol + left click to pin, but it doesn't work as I understand the meaning of pinning, because the bone can still move after pinning.
Bump post removed - don't do that.
