    The coupon value is distributed among the qualifying items. Something costing $0.01 will still eat a part of the coupon, since you can't subtract the full value from it.

    It will take off whatever portion of the coupon falls on that item. If it can't take the full amount off (because it doesn't cost that much to start with), then that gets lost. Repeat for every qualifying item.

    strange it doesn't just take the whole thing off the pro bundle, or whatever. it must not start at the top, but maybe the bottom? or there is a cutoff for each product the amount that can be discounted. SO in the case of my cart, posted higher up, when every item is a DO, and every item has a charge, you would think it would just subtract $6 from the total. it does not make sense to me actually how it figures out which item or items will ge discounted. 

    It wants to get a part off of every qualifying item. With DO items it doesn't matter much. But with the other coupon this makes sense. It doesn't penalize one PA (top, or bottom in the cart), but spreads the discount out.

    ok ..thats cool .. so it takes the cents from each of the 5 "free" items, then grabs the rest from the other DO products, for a total of $6 ... but it is not doing that ... its shorting by $1.70. Yeah, proabably not enough to worry about, but its the princiapl of the thing.

     

    I'm not 100% sure but I think it works something like this (an empirical guess based on my experiences with the coupons):

    1) It adds up the current store page prices of all qualifying items in your cart
    2) It divides the $6 by that total
    3) It applies the proportion of the $6 to each qualifying item according to the ratio of their store price to that total

    You'll see the problem: it hasn't taken account of the fact that some of the items are free in the cart - so that proportion of the $6 gets lost.

    yes..i will save it. Didn't they use to just work no matter?  It seems to me I used to use them all the time with zero dollar and other items in cart

    i tried getting the more for $50 by using that 20% off coupon and it comes up as being not valid. ... so no one getting ripped off or not being treated fairly. i think it is that that 20% off is for specific DO products, not qall of them or not new ones

    That is true. I was in the same predicament yesterday but I ultimately decided that I could afford loosing the deal if it dropped out today, even if I wanted the bundle.

    Today I got some nice items at 67% off before the flash coupon applied (on account on Jessai joining the artists who are discounted) so I got a decent deal out of it in the end.

    i rescind my last comment..the 20% off DO did wor on those $50 free items... so i think maybe one extra, depending on what you oput in the cart

    You can click the flash coupon to see to what it applies. 

    What I did was first select my 50$ worth of DOs to see what discounts applied and how and afterwards I added the Jonathan bundle offer.

    There is no extra discount on Jonathan 8 Pro or its add-ons BUT with the coupon in the flash sale you could get an extra $16 worth of the free DOs with the purchase of Jonathan 8 Pro and two add ons

    So I just tried to recreate my original cart with the Jonathan bundle and new coupon BUT one of the products I chose as an addon (the character converter) is no longer on sale and that had also triggered some G2 discounts (on products I didn't really need.) So I guess if I had waited I would have had to get a different Jonathan addon (which would be fine) but it seems I'd have to return my entire cart to get the extra 20% off of Daz O's and I know more freebies will come in the future so...  Just annoyed Daz is playing these games with us and we never know whether to buy early or late which kind of makes me not want to buy at all.

    That is indeed something to be annoyed about but it's funny so many people are vocal about 12$ for Jonathan.

    For the Leroy bundle, since the endeing synchronized with Valentines weekend, you could get like 1000$ worth of products instead of 120$ and not many people complained.

    So the MM page says if you buy or OWN Jonathan 8 Pro Bundle you get 10% discount on March Items. Yet, with Jonathan Pro bundle in cart I got 55% off them, and when I decided to buy Jonathan separately, I now only see 50% off. But now I OWN Jonathan, shouldn't I still get my 10%?

    Update: Ah, sorry, it just needed a bit of time to re-adjust. False alarm.

    As far as I know, Friday is just another work day. I've worked in technical support for an internet service provider, and we took turns being "on-call" evenings and weekends. I would expect Daz to do something similar, with a tech on-call and reachable by the mods. I have seen some things not get fixed, though, until office hours. I suppose it depends on what it is, whether or not it can be fixed without input from upper management. But that's just my best guess.

    I think this weekend sale is a bit sleazy on behalf of marketing. An offer of up to 20% off the next pro bundle when we have no idea what it is? There's nothing I want from today's new releases but do I risk getting something anyway just to get the 20% off a bundle I may not even want? And mathmatically is even worth it? I really  don't like these gambling tactics. First they give a coupon that makes the Jonathan pro freebies a better deal if you had waited, now offering a discount on a product sight unseen...

    I agree. I'm not buying something I don't really want just to get a discount on something I might not even buy. Ugh.

    The "Your key items" doesn't seem to be working again.  If I put two of todays "Still mad" releases in the cart, then add the Jonathan 8 Pro bundle, the extra 10% discount is not applied.

    I think they are pointing to the older key items or something, because I did get the discount, and I don't own any of this batch.

    I bought Jonathan yesterday as well and the 2 add-ons and still not getting the 70%.

    I don't think many people will buy the items just for getting 20% on an unknown bundle. They could have at least given us a spoiler with a name and a few promos or something.

    I think it's more of a who wants 1 item, maybe gets the second one as well, or who is so and so about the items, kind of wants them but maybe thinks 55% is still a little low buys them to get the later discount. Or just a reward for people getting the new items.

    If they at least added newly mad or still mad items, I could have found 2 items I liked but just from today's, there's no way.

    Last night, it took almost two hours before Magento settled and the 70% was applied, so I'm waiting to see what happens.
