Need a city - fast

I need a city or city street, in a business, financial or shopping district.
Stonemason's Abandoned city could have worked if it wasn't so...abandoned. (Though I would like to have higher buildings).
I only need a street, not a whole block or a whole city, and neither medieval nor science fiction.
Any tips, anyone?

Stonemason's Urban Sprawl 2 would offer you many options, but it may be larger and more expensive that what you seek. It is great, though.

Greetings,
Have you tried City Streets by Predatron, or Side Street by SoulessEmpathy, or Streets of NYC, or the back streets, or best of all Urban Sprawl 2 - The Big City by Stonemason?
Honestly that last should be all you need...
Edit2: If price is a significant barrier, use Google Images to search for 'city street', and set the 'Usage rights' to 'Commercial with modifications', and see if you can find a good high res image that you can composite onto. Use one of the HDR sets, or make your own shadow-catcher, and then composite the image of the street with your rendered image. Pick the right image, use a bit of careful blurring in post-work, and it'll look like DoF around your character.

[Edit: Sniped by barbult! Seriously though, for the price of US2, you get so incredibly much more...and it's partitioned; you can load subsections of the city for just what you need.]
@barbult and Cypherfox
Thank you both for great tips. Urban Sprawl 2 is exactly what I am looking for, apart from I only need one street, for one render... at least at the present.
On the other hand, Urban Sprawl 2 looks so good, I might buy it anyway.
Thanks again.
Greetings,
I realized that Predatron's City Streets had lost its promo pictures in the move-over, so I pulled it up and ran a quick render with everything all together. Not trying to push it, just doing a render for the sake of doing a render, and the context gave me an excuse. :)
The evil about to consume it isn't part of the set, obviously... ;)
Edit: I fleshed this out and posted the result on my deviantArt page, just for fun.

Since you only need a single street, I would get Predatrons Building Bundle as it is currently 50% off ($24.98) and includes not only a city street (City Streets), but an alley corner (Trash Stash), a sewer (City Sewer), and a factory interior (Industry One).
The value is unbeatable. I would wait for a sale on Urban Sprawl 2 due to the heavy price point.
Good Luck!

Seems like I missed the offer since it's now full price, but appreciate the tip.
While it's not as large or as versatile as Stonemason's and Predatron's stuff, Maclean's Streets is also good for quick city shots. The city props alone is worth the $9.95.

It's a bit to "cartoony" for my needs this time, but I appriecate the tip. Thank you.

A couple of well-placed cement shaders make it go from cartoon to realistic in no time flat AND as the original poster mentioned, I concur the props like the signs and such make it worthwhile for the price.
I just noticed there is still a Hot Promotion going on where if you buy one of 5 specific items you can get 50% off Stonemason's store. That could potentially save some money on Urban Sprawl 2 if you can make use of one of those 5 items. Go to http://www.daz3d.com/sales-promotions and scroll down.
...you can load parts of the entire city as well as just individual buildings.
This is what I did with Stonemason's NYC Townhouses, Urban Sprawl 2, City Courtyard, and a couple buildings from Predatron's City Streets. All of the buildings beyond the courtyard were loaded individually and arranged for the scene.
This is the beauty of these sets.
And yes McClean's Streets has very useful street props.
I second the Urban Sprawl 2 thing. Each building can be loaded by itself and when combined with other sets you have a huge variety of looks at your finger tips. And I use Maclean's streets to do roads and distant buildings in those type settings. They work very well when KIT BASHED like that.
I really appreciate all the tips and good advice from everybody.
I will buy Urban Sprawl 2, either soon or in the near future. It looks to good to not have.
I might also buy the McCleans. Your positive opinios changed my mind. (Short term problem is that I am no good with shaders).
I might also buy Predatrons stuff.
The problem this time, with both McCleans and the Predatron bundle is that I needed a financial or high end shopping street (like Wall Street or Madison Avenue) for my idea. I haven't decided yet what to do, but we'll see.
Once again, thank you all for your great ideas.
Look for vendor DreamLandModels on Renderosity. Check out their Movie Sets, City Blocks, series. Maybe something there might be useful as well.
whitemagus at Rendo has some nice stuff too.
check out the Rendo front page, they are having a Architecture, Landscape, Scenes Sale for P off, several cities included.
