i don't understand why 2 female teens?
Certainly not too many characters. Plus mixing various morphs gene pools allow for even more variety. I do tend to buy only the truly unique ones, and pass over those that look like regurgitations of previous work.
Transfered her morph over a while ago...
Four actually...
Though I think Josie and Kaylee are uncanny Valley as heck.
Well, he has a whole bunch of dangly bits if you know where to look...
Centaurs but no merfolk? Trying to think of some other ideas.
Harpies, satyrs, reptilians, minotaurs...
Of course and we need them all! Lol!
Ahh, now that makes sense.
Except that bundles can contain disparate items.
... And you said start, it's when folks start and finish without any dial-spinning, or other customisation. That is what I don't understand, although Gordig gave a very understandable reason.
I remember when I first started; I was fairly clueless on how to use Daz, but I didn't want to settle for someone else's vision, I wanted to see what I could do.
You forgot to specify bathrooms; they deserve to be signled out. :)
Wonder what is more important in the bathroom? The toilet? The tub/shower? The sink? The toilet paper?
Let us not forget toilet paper. Do all Daz bathrooms have that?
seriously, what topic are we in? Oops the too many characters? Maybe we need more hospital stuff as we have too many characters running into each other.
I don't think you can ever have too many characters, but do feel some of them are beginning to look exactly the same.
I think there needs to be a bit of diversity of style among the core characters. It's why I'm fond of the oddball characters such as Ollie. I think there's a constant search for the perception of perfection, that flaws are forgotten. I don't just mean this in characters. It's the same for houses. I mean, there's a lot of beautiful mansions and beach homes, but not so many which could be ordinary or homes with character.
I guess what I'm trying to say with my sleep-deprived brain is: I'd like to see more character in the models.
it would be nice if the core female characters had seperate makeups like those from PAs like seperate lipsticks, blush, eyeshadows extra you could mix and match instead of the combined makeups. I like the cores there is now a lot of variety but it'd also be nice if we had more options in individual parts of the makeups like the PAs offer us especially considering the prices
I want more kids. How about some merkids and merbabies. There used to be a merbaby in the store but that apparently got culled with the other ones from that generation. I attached the picture of the merbaby. It is probably the original promo pic.
I used to be able to name characters, if someone said Ivan I knew who they were talking about. Or Orphelia, Dante, Genevieve, etc. Now, I can't even remember what I've bought the past couple of months. If I hear a name, I don't have a clue for most of them. I buy Pro Bundles so I get great deals on the next batch of products coming out, basically the marketing makes it worthwhile to pick up characters.
...I primarily use G3F
I don't have the Vicky7 NPMs as they specify Victoria 7 ["Specialty Breast Morphs for Victoria 7"] instead of G3F. and I don't use V7 as a base for my younger characters . I have found in the past, that unless used with the actual character intended, they don't work as well (I have the Steph4 and Vicky6 NPMs as well as the Slender Steph6 Morphs).
What I do have are the Growing Up Morphs for G3F (which has it's own breast morphs), Breast Control for G3F, Natural Breast Shapes for G3F, G3F Female Body Morph Resource Kit, and the general G3F Body Morphs. I wish there was still an Androgynous Morph like the original Genesis had. Dialling a bit of that in used to work well when creating younger females than just using the Breasts Small/Gone sliders as those would often cause breast mesh to collapse or distort. I have the last version of GenX but going from the old Tri-Ax weight mapping used for Genesis to the current one at times presents unwanted distortion issues.
It's not just resizing along the Z axis either, but also the diameter which can be difficult to reduce properly without again, running into distortion which can affect the look of clothing fits. I also notice that most of the base female characters have breasts that perk slightly outwards, while the armpit area doesn't look quite right (Breast Control has some adjustments for this).
...I hear you on the kids. I've still been having to do a tonne of dial spinning not just for the body but face/head as well to get a more plausible child or pre teen. True, 3DU had released a number of younger characters for both G3 and G8 , but they tend to appear somewhat stylised with a tiny bit of "toon" look to them out of the box. I still like them and sometimes use just a small percentage here and there in my mixes (primarily the body shapes). Still, this doesn't often address the chest issue I mentioned in my previous post.
My main character, Leela, is still something of a WIP as once I figure out how to convert Oskarsson's Awkward Age character to G3, I'm going to dial her shape in to see what happens as Leela is supposed to look like an "awkward" pre teen. I really felt I hit it a year ago however that version was lost to a hard drive meltdown and even with the .jpg of that version on the other display, just cannot seem to recreate it.
Granted, child and pre-teen characters are even worse sellers than male figures, and thus support, such as more everyday clothing, is even more lacking (save for an abundance of school girl uniforms and a few "Alice" dresses).
The problem with most the bundles is that they mostly don't seem to have much of a "theme".
That said there should soo be a dragqueen male, which would finally make me buy a male figure (I don't like any of the bases at all, they all look like people off the FBI most wanted). Or an "anime" character that looks like they're from an anime and not from a nightmare.
Theres still no Arabic, etc etc figures, or Japanese (even though theres weirdly 5 figures with Japanese names), or many of the many different "white" ethnicities and a billion other things...
Just no more ridiculously massive traps and child length arms for the guys. Oh and no more deep nasolabial folds for practically everyone (they make most the women look practically identical).
