Any guides or do's and don'ts when lowering G8 height to produce realistic results?

I want to lower Genesis 8 female's height, but I want to do it proportionally without the character looking weird, since I don't trust my eyes. There are the following dials:
- height
- arms length
- neck length
- legs length
- torso length
Does using the height dial produce accurate results?
If I were to lower legs length by 15, does that mean I should also lower arms, neck and torso length by 15? Are those four settings proportional in that regard?
Any advice on properly lowering Genesis 8 female's height properly would be greatly appreciated. If I do lower her height, will it cause unforseen problems?

I don't trust my eyes. I was hoping there was some kind of formula or equation. You said, Young teen girls (and guys) will usually have longer limbs, so you can reduce torso length to get that appearance. Rules like that are what I'm looking for, but preferably more specific with percentages, and more for adult men and women.
If Male is 5'5, then set height to X, and arm, neck, leg length to Y.
If Male is 6'2. then set height to X, and arm, neck, leg length to Y.
If Female is 5'5, then set height to X, and arm, neck, leg length to Y.
If Female is 6'2, then set height to X, and arm, neck, leg length to Y.
I'm looking for this kind of specifics if possible.
You're right, when using the height dial, it helps to reduce the arm length.
That's the problem, I just want the character to not look like there's something wrong or off. I don't have a good eye, so I was hoping to follow some rules that will prevent me from messing up the character. For example, I look at the character and it looks fine, but as soon as someone else sees the character they instantly notice something wrong with the proportions, because they have a sharper eye.
I've found that it's a lot easier to judge whether the proportions are off if I have an unmorphed G8 figure standing next to the one I'm working on.
Also keep in mind that humans, well, vary. Even if the height dial gives a perfect proportional shift, you still might want to tweak leg and torso length and so on.
Some people have long limbs, some short. Big or small heads. Etc
If I have a group of people where I know their general heights, I just stick them in a scene together and eyeball it...some need adjustments via the "height" slider while others need to be scaled down. For example, Darius 7 is fracking ginormous and needs to be scaled down...I actually use him at 97% with bumped up height. Keep in mind you might also need to play around with the head propogating scale to match what you're doing.

These are of course the average proportions and they can vary slightyly but for the most part they are great.
You can also check the proportions for various ages, to make realistic younger people as well.
I may be wrong but I think the op is asking whether there is a one slider solution to reducing a character's height and, at the same time, proportionately reducing the length of arms etc. Alternatively, if you like the original character's proportions and reduce height by a certain numer, do you reduce arms and legs by the same number to keep everything proportional to the original measurements.
My incorrect assumption was that scaling a character down would achieve this goal. Thanks melissastjames and others for explaining other atjustments may still be necessary.
