LIE Face Bruises - where to find and how to adjust

I'm using L.I.E. FACE BRUISES for Genesis 3 and 8 to put a bruise on a figure. It's gone onto the figure fine, but it's a bit darker than I need, so I'd like to fade it out a bit and maybe adjust the colour. I assumed I could select it in the Scene panel and then adjust it in Surfaces, but I can't actually see it in the Scene. Nor can I therefore see a way to remove it or change it.

I'm probably missing something really obvious because I don't know anything about LIE systems. Help please!

    Two parts to this answer...

    1) first make sure you are using the right bruise (there are separate sets in the product for light and dark skin) but I am assuming you did that...

    2) and use the L.I.E editor to adjust the intensity (http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/lie/reference/lie_using).

    3) a quick video https://youtu.be/ORo_XZRFl4A!

Thank you for providing the answer, @Nemesis10.

@Radia, like Nemesis mentioned, there are several presets included. The presets for Dark Skins will look really intense on lighter skins. The Light Presets would be the lighter ones with the Dark Blend skin presets being something in between. If you applied a Light Preset and you would like to have it still lighter, then you'll want to decrease the opacity/transparency of the bruise layer of the Diffuse map via the Layered Image Editor.

Also, I recommend saving your skin materials before applying the bruises. As the only way to remove them would be to:

    1. Undo applying the bruise via the back arrow.
    2. Or use the material preset you created to reset your figure.
    3. Go into the LIE of the diffuse and translucency maps and manually delete the bruise layers.

Hi FenixPhoenix - thanks for the extra info. Yes, I had used the bruise for light skin, but my character is really pale so it was too much of a contrast and I wanted to fade it out a bit. Adjusting the opacity worked well once I knew how and where the bruise could be found/accessed. Nice product.

Glad you managed to find a way to tweak the bruises :). And I understand. There are so many skin colors and each PA uses different settings that we did our best to accommodate as many skins as possible by adding three presets (we added an extra blending preset (Light Faded) on our body bruises to accommodate those extra light skins). Of course, further refinement (tweaking) is always best, I'd say ;). Thank you for your support!
