Unable to add items to cart for Build Your own Flash Sale

I added some items to my cart, forgetting that I wasn't logged in. So I logged in and of course it shows my cart icon as having items but if I click it the cart page says I have no items. I know that happens sometimes but I've tried logging out, closing the browser window, then starting again a few times now,  but it's not clearing the bug.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd like to buy some stuff before the sale ends!

    Try adding any item to the cart, then removing the added item, before trying to add what you want to purchase. That often helps.
