Headshop 12?

I am puzzled by the Headshop release. I thought I already had Headshop 12 with Love Child, but now there are separate Genesis 8 and Genesis 3 versions. Does this do something different?

  • It looks like these are single generation, cut down versions of the other version.

As far as I feel it, the complete version with several generations included has a bit of a steep price at USD 99. For me, the earlier generations are redundant in the package, because I would only ever create Genesis 8 characters with the tool. Therefore, I won't buy it. Why pay for something I won't ever use?

The Genesis 8 only version sports a much more friendlier price, especially on discount. It is in my wishlist now.

I can see the advantages if you haven't got the original 12: but wondered if there was indeed anything new here - or is it just the same as the 12 upgrade. The old version has been retired. It is hard to keep up with this stuff.

Do you know if problems with the seams on the neck and head has been fixed in HeadShop 12?

Below is the render of the character made with HeadShop 11.

Did they ever manage to fix the issue that headshop won't work if your library is not installed to the default location on C:?
  • Does headshop allow you to use profile/side pictures again yet? I never ubderstood why they took that feature out.

Can you use this to create a character for sale, where you can take the character into a sculpting program to refine it and create your own skins and morphs for it, or can you only use what you get out of the program as is?

Would anyone be willing to post IRay renders of their Headshopped characters along with the photo(s) used to create them? The texture-shaded views shown in the product images don't provide a good sense of the final outcome.
