Some advice about a designing tablet I have, if it can be used for morphing as well

Dear all,
I have bought about 2 years ago a kind of designing tablet for 2D use such as painting, etc.
This buy was a spur of the moment thing, when I entered the computer shop, my eye caught it and I bought it (at that stage the only tablet in the shop anyways). But for my needs at that time suitable for 2D painting. I have used it for instance on Paint Shop Pro and ArtRage and it 'paints' wonderfully plus other 2D things you can use it for.
On talking to someone about morphing in ZBrush, he mentioned that the Wacom tablet he use is great to add perfection to the final morphs. But the Wacom is out of my financial reach as pensioner. :smirk:
The tablet I have is "Kanvus Office 53" - slim graphics tablet. Do anyone have such a tablet and can it be used similarly as the Wacom? In fact, can any kind of tablets be used more or less the same way? I haven't used my tablet for a long time since I am more trying to learn 3D now than doing 2D painting, etc. If this can be done, I must start playing around with the tablet rather than it just stays as a white elephant in the cupboard!
Thank you for any advice in advance! :-)

Hi Laura,
I Googled your tablet and had a look at your Kanvus Office 53, it "appears" to be a normal graphics tablet.
If you've already had your tablet working on your currant computer for your 2D programs, it "should" (I hope, fingers crossed) work on most 3d program that supports a graphics tablets.
I have a Aiptek graphics tablet that I plug into my main computer via a usb cable, I use it mostly on 2D paint programs but I have used it in on a free 3D sculpting program a while ago called "Sculptris", which is similar to Zbrush and it worked just fine.
I hope it works out alright for you. (:
Most of the non-Wacom tablets are, at their heart, clones of each other. Yeah, the outsides may be different...but that's just cosmetics. Inside most of them are the same and will work in most applications.
Thank you both for your replies! :)
I will have to go and take the tablet out of the closet, dust it off so to speak, where it was lying for more than a year unused, and try to see what it will do in 3D applications as well, other than 2D. Somehow I think it should work, fingers crossed as well! I am interested to start playing with ZBrush and Sculptris too among other programs, to try making morphs for Genesis & Co. Something I have never done before at all!

Hi everyone,
A few minutes ago I have tested my Kanvus tablet in Sculptris (which I had to install first) to see if it will work in 3D programs as well ... and from the 1st time I have started moving the graphic pen around it worked perfectly!!! Gosh, if I knew the capabilities/uses of graphics tablets, I would have used it a long time ago other than only for 2D as I have done. It just show how little I actually know when it comes to 3D. :smirk: I must re-install ZBrush on my computer and try it out there too but I am sure it should work if it works so well in Sculptris! Thanks to Zev0 who gave me the hint on morphing with a graphics tablet earlier this month. :-)

It is 1000x easier to make morphs, paint textures, etcetera with a graphics tablet than it is with a mouse. And "Lazy Mouse" in ZBrush is the greatest thing to ever exist. :D
I have not installed ZBrush on my computer yet. Is the "Lazy Mouse" feature you mention part of ZBrush or a separate item to buy? I have not used ZBrush up to now and have little knowledge thereof.
