how to 'unselect' the polygon selector?

Whenever I click on something in Daz I get this the polygon selector (see pic of example of what I get when selecting anything) how do I unselect this pls so it just selects things normally ty.

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean~!

    It's Alt + click to deselect with the geometry editor

    If you want to switch off the geometry editor tool, just select a different tool. Click the arrow in the middle of the toolbar at the top, or another tool.

    That's how to unselect polygons that have been selected with the polygon selection tool, which is not really what the OP was asking about. 

    See those icons above your viewport, with the regular mouse cursor, then mouse cursors with other icons? Click one of those to change tools. Personally, I keep mine on the universal tool, immediately to the right of the regular mouse cursor icon, or (if I remember correctly) ctrl+U.

    Sometimes I just switch to "Marquee Mode" and just drag select nothing to make the selection "go away".
