Window pane groups too wide

Hi all,

This should be an easy one to fix right?

My window pane groups on the right side of Studio are too wide and I can't seem to make them narrower. I can't drag the width handles  to the right at the border of the main viewport to make them skinnier. They seem locked in place. How do you make them unlocked or able to move further to the right?

  • That almost certainly means that one of the panes in the group has a minimum size that is keeping the width - which panes are docked there?

Oh ok, I don't know how to affect the width parameters in the UI.

The grouped panes I have in order from top to bottom is:

Scene, Parameters, Content Library, Simulation Settings, Tool Settings Script IDE,  Face Transfer, Figure Setup.

Can I actually change those minimum width parameters?

Looks like it's the Figure Setup tab does this.  You could add it to the middle pane instead.

  • I'd suspect the ScriptIDE

It's always preference, but you don't need to tab everything. If you don't frequently use a tool, you can get to it through a custom action, menu or temporarily "floating" the tab.

Thanks fastbike, but yeah I have grown really used to the tabs that it has become a part of the workflow, I only put a tab in the pane groups if I really need them. I think it's the first time I pulled out the window group so far out that it doesn't want to snap back into its original position.

    Testing that now...

  • Yep,

Figure Setup was the the culprit!

  • Thanks all!
