Olympia 8 skin, does anyone use it much?

For anyone who owns & has used this character and/or skin, have you noticed anything with the lower lip? There seems to be a slightly off-center "crease" or something. I noticed it when I was messing around with the lip colors using the Diffuse Overlay Weight/Color settings. Could this be from the Normal Map or the Bump? Haven't noticed a difference playing with the Normal & Bump settings, and the Normal map is probably just too huge(48mb) to open with mspaint. Any ideas? First spot render has the extra color added to the lips using diffuse overlay weight & color, and the second one I added metallic flakes to the lips.

Sorry to hear that. The crease may be from the normal map; so, select Olympia 8 in the Scene tab; go to Surface/Lip/Diffuse/Bump/Normal, and decrease it by half.

I bought Olympia 8 when she was released. I did a test render, and as a result of what I saw, that was the last time I rendered her skin. Divamakeup's Altern8 improves her skin to the point that I can use it, but my initial negative impression has stuck. I still use her morph though, mainly the body.

I haven't used the character for a while, but don't recall that; O7 was a favourite, and I liked O8, but there seem to be a lot more this generation, and I'm just trying to at least load every character I have. /shrug

Ha! I don't think I've loaded Olympia 8 since 24 September, 2017. I have a file with her in from that date.

Not seeing any issue; looked at the textures, and default mats.

Have you got a normal map from a different character applied?

Oh no, absolutely not. I don't mix normal or bump maps with different skins because I've always been under the impression that they coincide with the actual matching base skin texture, and that if you use different ones, you'll probably end up with the skin texture not looking right in renders.

I actually don't think Olympia 8's skin is all that bad. Believe me, I have purchased a LOT worse from here & renderosity. The second image was the only one thus far that I spot rendered to near 100% and I did that on Saturday. Haven't had much time lately to set up & prep the character for a full render as I've been running around like a chicken with it's head lopped off for the past few days. I could use a drink... several drinks, as Phalse would say.

I'll give that a try and lower or maybe even swap out the normal map with a different O8 character. Hopefully soon I'll get a new system and scene-building+rendering won't be like my O-Chem labs where it was always "hurry up and wait".
