Question about Scott 6

So I've been looking at the G2 HD morphs now on sale and noticed that the Scott 6 promos look muscular already like the HD morphs and all promos of him and PA characters in the Pro Bundle were rendered in iRay although it says only 3DL and Poser materials come with him. Is there an update for him or did they just add the basic IRay Uber shader to him in the promos? And why do the promos already look HD? Actually the promos for all the Daz O original characters look like HD is already applied to them...

    All the characters come with normal maps that have usually have the same details as the hd morphs. The difference is being a morph you can mix it with anyone and the HD actually adds detail to the geometry, where as normals maps dont displace the geometry at all.

    OK thanks. Still wondering why this is the only G2 character that was rendered in iRay and if his textures were updated...

    Scott 6 and Callie 6 were both shown with Iray in their promos, that's about time Iray was just added to the public build and right after them we got Vicky 7 and Genesis 2 was over and done with. I'm almost sure Scott 6 was the last of the male line for the generation which is a shame because he seems to have been short lived because of it, but was one of the best males for Gen2 Male imo :) As for have textures been updated, to the best of my knowledge they haven't, but I could very well be wrong with that.

    Scott 6 was the last Genesis 2 base figure released, a couple of months after Victoria 7, but had probably been languishing for a while (he doesn't even get a choice of eye colour). None of the Genesis 2 bases have Iray materials included, although an optimized Iray shader for quick conversion* was later added to the Genesis 2 Starter Essentials, and there were several add-ons and converters that followed.

    *Edit: Actually a material preset It doesn't change the bitmaps, just puts them in the right channels for the Iray shader.

    I use him all the time .I did not see any iray mats included so You will need to convert him to iray. I just use the Default g2m Iray mats , that come with the genesis 2 essentials  . there are no special body morphs scott is just the character dial shape of his own shape based of micheal 6.  scott default textures are 3dl comes with bump and trans mats for the muscle morph look.

     I rendered a couple quick renders using a cake one HDR  and included a screen shot the character morph dials so you can decide for your self

    Scott 6 was released at almost the same time as Karen 7, and the two were both pitched at filling the need for a "superhero" type figure... hence the extreme level of musculature definition.  As far as Iray materials go, there are a number of products made that will transform most G2F and G2M materials to Iray at the click of a button, but be aware that, like most G2 base figures, the actual Scott 6 skin textures had custom UV maps that may not work with a lot of the skin surface adjusting shaders. One that does work well, though, is https://www.daz3d.com/n-g-s-anagenessis-2-revolution ;
