G8M Clothing Showing up in G8F Smart Content
I've already put in a ticket for this several days ago and I haven't heard anything back from them yet, but I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.
There are five G8M outfits that don't show in the G8M Smart Content when a G8M figure is selected and I have Filter by Content checked on, but they do show up in the G8F Smart Content when a G8F figure is selected. Over in the Content Library, they're showing up in the correct places under G8M, but for some reason the Smart Content panel shows them under the female clothing. I installed them through DIM. These are the items that are showing in the wrong place for me:
dForce Caballero Outfit
dForce H&C Mandarin Collar Shirt Outfit
dForce Latin Dancer Outfit
dForce Traditional East Indian Outfit
Winter Dweller for Genesis 8 Male (I just bought this one today)
There may be others that I don't own, but this only started happening quite recently.
I'm still waiting to hear back on the ticket I put in, but in the meantine, I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.

I have a few of those. The metadata lists "Genesis 8/Female" and not "Genesis 8/Male" under compatibility, so, they need a correction. It's easy to do yourself, while you wait, if you want.
In Smart Content, select your product, right click on "Explore Product". Now select the actual figure, right click, and choose "Categorize".
A window pops up, and a check box list of ways you can categorize the product comes up, and these can be customized. For example, I have a Female G3 and a Male G3. I choose "Figure" in the checklist and then I create a subcategory by right clicking on that choice, and "Create". I created my own categories, and you may find that your figures were not checked in subcategory, or mistakenly checked in subcategory for "female". I make those categories simple, like G1MF G2F, G2M, etc. I also make sub-sub categories, such as Ethnicity, Age, etc. So If I can't remember "Wise Sensei" or what generation it is, I can search my own categories in Smart Content by Old, Asian, Male. You can also make a category for add-on products for that figure. Very handy. BTW, some products end up in "Lost and Found" for some unknown reason when installed. Try there, do the Category thing, and Un-check "Lost and Found", and now check G8 Male or whatever.
These are installing through DIM into the wrong category. They show in the correct place in Content Library, but in Smart Content they show only when a female character is selected. Now a new outfit I just bought, Pop Star Outfit and Hair for Diego 8, is also showing in the female section of Smart Content, but not in the male content. I can find it fine in Content Library under G8M. I'm not sure why so many items are doing this. I haven't heard back yet from the ticket I put in. I guess it's not really a major issue, but possibly confusing for anyone who might use Smart Content to find things. Interestingly, I haven't seen any female content accidentally showing up in the male content. Only male things in the female content.
How do I do this? I looked in Edit Metadata, but it doesn't seem to give me any way to edit it. I've never had to do this before, so I'm in the dark about how this is done.
Thisi s not surprising. Girls are always borrowing guys clothing without asking... but boy, do they get ticked when they catch you with theirs. ;)
ROFL! Thanks, I needed a good laugh.
You can submit a help request on these metadata errors and wait...
I submitted a help request on the Caballero outfit in August. No fix yet.
