It was in reference to the current sale of that day. There were no "4 hour sale" at that time.

...the only item that even remotely sparks an interest is LDP-R, however it is just too complicated compared to the original as it requires a lot of layering postwork in PS or Gimp.
I can get pretty much the same desired results with the Advanced Ambient light, Atmospheric cameras (which also has a depth camera), and Coud9/Skies of Economy light domes (I just substitute an AAL for the main UE sphere and it renders in a fraction of the time).
Also, video tutorials and online lessons aren't really much help for me as I have much better retention when it comes to printed matter (I miss the old illustrated step by step tutorials here).

Yep, a real bargain. I picked the bundle up also. Because Cliff Bowman was listed on the bundle (for the Poser version) but not the DAZ version, the bundle price was actually less than buying just the DAZ version.

...so with the latest version of Gimp. how useable are these now?
They've worked natively in Gimp since 2.8 came out. I don't advise trying to load them all at once though or Gimp will choke. I have 19 of his *.abr files and it's hit or miss whether Gimp loads if I have them all in my brush folder at once. There may or may not be a Gimp setting for memory to help with this. I switched to Photoshop long ago so I never worried about Gimp's memory usage.

There may be a major glitch sale at the moment. Looks to me like you put one of the new PC power sale items in your cart and get an additional 50% off everything in the store (both DAZ originals and PA items , but excluding the $1.99 and $2.99 PC items) after all other sales discounts are applied. You can even get an annual PC membership for $24.50. But hurry it will probably change at midnight DAZ time if they don't catch up with before then.
And if you haven't used it before you can use the $10 off coupon on top of that; But the coupon is one time use only.

i just tried it and it didnt work for me.

Did you have one of the new PC power sale items in your cart? That is the trigger.
I used RawArt's new 'Creature From the Depths' I just checked and it still seemed to work.
Also you may have to be a PC member. After your post I tried and it worked. Then I logged out (so my PC membership wouldn't apply) and it didn't work. Then I logged back in and it worked again.
