I honestly wish Hellboy would've made his MAXX into a pro bundle figure with some cute bara friends, because honestly. MAXX is one of the best figures in the store, and the detail, work on it is amazing, plus his bikini, and bodyhair? Amazing!

Maxx is the ONLY character I have ever gone without groceries for, though I did wait till I could get him and the Brute on sale (and the Brute is the only G8 figure I have paid for), I'm not completely crazy ;) Maxx is to die for and if he walked into my real life I'd have to be carried away in a wheelbarrow, passed out from lack of oxygen and awe at his deliciousness. Hellboy is the bomb.

The pa outdid himself with maxx, which is why I wish hellboy would make a base figure with Bara style characters. Just the texture options for maxx beat any base we have. Plus those bikini underwear and thong are the best male skimpwear in the store. They fit so well and he added indent morphs for the figure. Lots of attention to detail.

You know, some PA should do their own themed Pro Bundle sometime. There have been sort of mini-themed pro bundles by a few PAs (eg Star 2.0 and a couple of 'female model' mini-pro bundles).

They could choose a style of clothing that is consistent and unique to the bundle. 3DU has done his fair share of Pro Bundles although he called them Mega Bundles to distinguish them from DAZ 3D Pro Bundles and I think those are his biggest sellers too.

It's those kind of bundles that are best suited for addressing various story telling themes, like oh one needs a platoon of soldiers going through Basic, from MEPs to Graduation, and lots of other story situations.

Maxx gets a lot of love - and quite deservedly so - but I never see people mention Dolb, and they seem to be equal in terms of quality and the sheer depth of work that went into them. Is that just because Dolb isn't as hunky?

Dolb  is well made but his style with the proportions is just not something I personally like. I prefer big huge monsters and the larger head and small body thing doesn’t resonate with me.

I have a friend who quite likes dolb though and has told me he is of superior quality so I may buy him for his skin and parts and put him on a bigger body at some point.

But yes hunks trump monsters most days of the week especially if they are as well made as Maxx.

Feels bad for the people who want quality men clothing / figures.

I wish you felt bad enough to learn Daz rigging and make your excellent creations available in Daz Studio.

S M A C K !!!!  L O L ! follow the money, an artist can spend weeks on something that well sell or weeks on something that will starve. Anyway, who wants another space suit or an army uniform ? i dont buy the new mens stuff because it is always more of the same or worse, ridicules

Tennessee looks well crafted and detailed in the promose (https://www.daz3d.com/tennessee-for-genesis-8-male). I think that he is a good addtion for all who want male content. Shocked that no one has posted anything about him today in the forums.

Yeah, his details and features look awesome. Flew into my cart too. Would love to see this type of ethnicity more often but I'll gladly enjoy what I have. ;-)

Yeah, Tennessee doesn't look like he's messing about.

He should certainly move some units.

I've only ever heard of historically Amazon tribes with nose bone piercing in the Americas. And history being what it is and increasingly embellished as well when people are finding the details from that long ago are severely lacking, I'm not sure if the source I saw claiming that Amazonian tribe had bone nose piercings was truthful. I think Aztecs and Incas though have actual documented historical proof that some of them had those piercings.

Bought Tennessee. But he really needs an equally well made outfit.

no. i mean, where did the model come from? is it custom, a kitbash, or part of a set of clothes/accessories that i can buy?

Oh!  Maybe the earlier Darius 6 Pro Bundle?

I haven't bought a female model in ages because I have like 100. Meanwhile I'm still using Phillip 5 in some cases.

The biggest factor that allows me to continue working on male content is that the characters have been commissioned by people who are able to do so, which in turn reduces the amount of external sales I need to break even. I do want to focus on just male content, but it's not always financially viable which is a shame as that is what I prefer to create.

I just checked out your stuff and it's fantastic! I'm looking for as much male content as I can find and this is really excellent stuff. I'd love to get the Dante character and his hair, but I have to ask what your terms of use are. If this originally came from a game, and I presume copyrighted, can I use these character commercially, such as on a book cover? I don't want to use it for something that I shouldn't.

thing is, you can kitbash morph together some great looking characters. The probklem I have is with the skin textures. More of those would be cool., especially with scars, and a lot of detail.

This is Tennessee but with a couple of other chasracfters dialed in and T dialed back to 50%. Then I added Maxx HD Head and Body. The texture is from someone else as well.

Hardly any male content these days. I hope a new male bundle drops soon

  • One thing I wanted to mention here is George. I have no idea how well George sells but I buy stuff for him on the rare occasions I see it. I'd love a George "Pro bundle." He's just so unique and well made and I have fun using him to dial in to make other characters with.

The Pop Star outfit for Diego is good, but the hair it's bundled with makes it a pass for me. The hairline looks too unrealistic to me. That's too much of a common theme for me when it comes to non-characters content. Characters are at a point where they look very realistic, but clothes and hair often fall short.

Not a fan of the hair either, but I love the outfit so it's on my cart already. I'll just look at the hair as a bonus :).

Yeah I'm really sad about the popstar outfit. I really like that this is a high quality outfit. I love the realistic look of the pants. But I know already I will never render the pants tucked in the boots as intended by the design of this outfit and I don't think it has morphs to correct this look. Also, unlike other pants I've purchased I don't think I can mix this by creating a custom morph myself without completely hijacking the UV layout and the texture ... and also of course I have no use for the hair.

Yeah my recurring dilemma I can't solve. I want to support quality male content because I want to help encourage PAs creating more of them. But then this also means I shall buy content that I have no use for ... it's so tricky.

I like the outfit. Yes it is a popular style but it looks nice.

  • 3Ddreamer3Ddreamer Posts: 1,340

I'm going to pick it up - it flew into my cart - but I doubt I'll every use the hair or boots and would never have bought them if they were standalone. But there is no mention of any morphs on the page, I would gladly give up the hair and boots for open and close morphs on the leather jacket, and a straighten morphs for the bottoms of the jeans to use without those boots and some other morphs. With so little male clothes it would be nice that what we get is versitile and not a one look shot.

  • JOdelJOdel Posts: 6,316

I grabbed it and was thankful. Probably will never use the hair, but the rest offers a nice degree of variety. Yes, including the pants in boots. There are already a fair number of pants in boots outfits in the store, but at least these pants don't look pained on. And if I want pants without boots, I have a number of those available.

A quick test of the pants in Pop Star Outfit using Fit Control morphs (Shin Up, Expand Ankle, & Boot Adjusters) to move them down to the top of some different boots.
