Is it possible to make a hair solid?

I'm trying to do some 3D printing, but the hair is more than a problem. Is it possible to make a hair a solid object?

Let's say Agent hair for discussion

There are different ways to create hair, but it would be cool to end up with a solid like the old hair for Poser figures.

    yes

you need to add thickness and pull that into the head and use displacement on the surface using the opacity map, I did in Carrara for a figure I printed before my nasty DaVinci printer stopped recognising my DRM encoded filiment  cartridges

no, you need a 3D modelling program

be it Carrara like me, Blender, Hexagon etc DS studio is a dedicated content loading and pose and render program

Why don't you use Poser hair then? Just don't conform, fit manually...
