User defined pose preset directories

Hi,

I have saved a lot of poses in my pose preset directory (folder).  The problem is that they are all displayed in one large folder and it takes a lot of time to find the one that I am looking for.  I notice that the poses for items I bought are sorted in appropriate directories.  Example... All running poses are in the running directory, all standing poses are in the standing directory... etc.  I would like to sort my user predefined pose presets into directories like that.  I am using Windows and using the windows document programI found the pose preset directory.  I created a sub directory called running and copied the running pose files into the new subdirectory.  When I opened daz and tested a running pose, DAZ did not show the subdirectory.  I tried using the directory scan utility but it was not included.

Is there a way of doing this.  It would make finding user defined pose presets much easier.

It should show up the way you have it in content library tab. Try right clicking on the folder with all the poses in it and hit refresh.

  • If you are using content manager just set up your physical folders on your drive the way you want them.  If you are using smart content, you should be able to do that with the database, since I don't use it I can't tell you how.

Pose presets don't rely on any external files so you can shuffle them around to wherever you want them.

  • I think you are cinfusing the folder structure, which you will see in the Content Library under the Daz Studio Formats top-level container, with the categories, which you see in Smart Content, the Presets tab of property panes, and the categories container in the Content Library pane.

If you want to categorise items put them back in their original file folder, then in the content Library pane select them and right-click>Categorise, then check the category or categories you want them in. Items can be in more than one category.

    When I opened daz

Was DS running or closed (as in, you quit DS rather than simply closed the window) when you created the subdirectory and moved the poses? If DS was running, you need to update your content directory.

Go to Edit > Preferences (or hit F2) and click the Content tab.

Click the Content Directory Manager button to open the Content Directory Manager.

Click Accept to update your content directory and return to the Content pane.

    8) Click Accept to exit Preferences.

Your subfolders should appear in the Presets folder of the Content pane.
