hi guys for the peoples like which true hate "high heels armors" or outfits in general here's a small trick to get rid off then if you not already know how to do.

first you must make sure peoples never gonna see under the feet in the images, because it's basically "remove the heels from the boots",

first add the character and the "high heels boots/sandals\shoes you want get rid off now go for the tools option then go for geometry editor, it will allow you to "select faces" from the mesh, from this point click on the shoes/boot/sandal youu want to fix in the from that point you can have 2 choices: choice 1 manually select the quadfaces of the heels you want to remove: in the scene tab then select the object, then in the view port(to make things more easy change the "view to wire textured shade it will mark for you the "quads" then start to select each one while holding ctrl butttom when you have all the "heel" marked right click on mouse them a option box will open where you gonna look for the "geometry visibility go to the arrow and click in the option "hide selected polygons, it will make the polygon invisble in the scene and if you want to "export outside daz in the export options mark the "no hidden" it will delete any hidden polygon when exporting.

option 2, click on the objet on the scene tab then in the virw port right click in the object then the previos option will appear then go to geometry selection in that option look for select by > surface > XXXheels*xx will be how the creator named that area if it was named and not modeled as full part of the boots like the shoes was made in pieces and put together., when you click on that it will make daz automatically try to mark the full heels in both shoes, then you have to go to the geometry visibility to make it invisible it have a chance to not mark the whole heels and leave some small polygons you have to remove manually but can be much more fast and accurace than you going the gull manual process, then after that just make the charactet feet goes back to his base position and you have  a no heels shoes"

remeber doing that you gonna leave the shoes with a "hole" under him then as long you don't need show under the character shoes things will be fine, if for any reason you need to show the under feet the you gonna need to edit later the image in photoshop or other image editor to remove that hole

I use dFormers to make "remove heels" morphs. IMO much better than messing with the geometry editor;)

Another easy way that works if the character stands with both feet on the floor / ground is simply to have her stand as with low heels and hence push the heel down under the floor. Piece of cake!

I'll have to try that, sound like a most practical way and I never thought of it

Or... just add some boots from another outfit? That's what I have to do constantly when an otherwise awesome outfit doesn't come with high heels. And yes, I did occasionally go as far as purchasing outfits that didn't interest me at all, but which happened to have nice footwear that only needed a little bit of re-shading to combine with more interesting outfits.

Very simple to send the high heels to hexagon over the Daz Studio / Hexagon bridge.  Load the offending shoes in Daz Studio, set resolution to base (smoothing off), use the FILE menu to send to Hexagon, adjust the heels to taste, use Hexagon's FILE menu to send back Daz Studio.  The morph menu will appear in Daz Studio.

A quick search for making morphs for Daz Studio will yield several more tutorials to fill in the details.  Tutorial authors include Josh Darling, SickleYield, and Winterbrose, but you can find others that might suit your taste.

Here is a thread dedicated to listing Hexagon tutorials if you want more help on that side of it.
