my miss kittn lost her mittens. i not seeing mittens in the promos?

I wondered the same thing. Apparently, some definitions of mittens include those fingerless gloves as long as the thumb is partially covered. Not really a mitten in my book, but I bought the product anyway.
None of those items fit any English definition of the word mitten.
If you want mittens, beg oso for the ones he just made in MD :P
I think they are mistakenly thinking any glove knitted out of yarn is a mitten but it's not. Those gloves are sort of the opposite of mittens.

I believe predatron made a set of gloves and mittens a while back. The only thing they are Gen4 and like footwear, not sure if they'd fit any Genesis figure properly.
Evil Innocence also has several sets of mittens in the store here, fitted for a variety of figures, including M4/V4. But the people running the DAZ store theoretically are English speakers and should have suggested a different name ...Of course, they also should have caught the fact that the "jet" in Missing Jet https://www.daz3d.com/missing-jet isn't a jet, but a prop plane.

...maybe the pilot (who apparently is missing from the scene) was named "Jet".
Or he was a member of one of the street gangs from West Side Story who was shot down by a Shark who, ironically, WAS flying a jet.

It does start to sound like an Abbot and Costello routine -

In French we call those kinds of fingerless gloves "mitaines", might be a case of mistranslation due to similar sounding words.

I think this is what happened. But if you're looking for winter or kitchen mittens, you have plenty of opportunity to see in the promos that these are rather elegant gloves before you buy them, right? Anyway, mittens or no mittens - I love the product. It even works with 3DL, but you have to apply the textures manually. No problem for a real GeoShell fan.
