Missing gift card confirmation emails

I can't seem to get through to the help desk yesterday or today.  I have an issue where Yahoo or ATT keeps filtering out my Daz marketing and gift card confirmation and sale confirmation emails.  The only receipts I ever get are from PayPal.  I've been on the phone with Yahoo, added special permissions for Daz and checked that the email was correct.  But, I still don't get them.  It's not a big deal normally.  But, I put a bunch of cash in a couple of gift cards this week and would like to use them for the Black Friday sale.  I put in a couple of tickets with no reply.  So, I'm guessing they must be gone for the weekend.  Let me know if someone can help me out over there.  I was hoping to buy some stuff. :)

It's been a holiday in the US yesterday and today, so there won't have been a chance for anyone to deal with your ticket. I'm afraid I don't really have anything to suggest, other than that the codes will be made available in some way - but it's unlikely to be ebfore next week.

  • Well, that is a bummer. I had my doubts. But I was hoping that maybe because it was Black Friday oh, somebody might be staffing the helpline this weekend. I guess not.

FWIW I got mine within a minute of checkout.

You could send the card to someone you know which don't have problems receiving them, then they could send you the code.

How can I do that after I've already purchased? Is that possible?

I'm sure they were sent...just lost in Yahoo somewhere. It seems to only be a problem with Daz marketing and receipt / confirmation emails. I get direct mail from the help desk. I don't know what is the difference. There's no sign of any Daz address being blocked in any of the settings I have control over. And, the emails don't show up in any of my spam folders. Believe me... I've spent some hours trying to figure it out. I'm open to any suggestions, if there is anyone else who has experience with this issue.

No, I don't think so, I just meant in the future, if this is a general problem for you.  But I won't rule out that you might get a refund for a purchased card as an exception in a case like this, if you buy another one at the same price now.  It's a risk to take though, if you can't afford it if they say no.

I find it a bit strange though that by default they won't refund gift cards that haven't been redeemed yet, they can't lose anything and it can't be abused AFAICS (assuming they can block them from being redeemed).

I once messed up and mistyped my email address in the second box (a button 'send to same address' would be handy) opened a ticket and they added the amount to my account - it showed in the invoice my mistake. Other thing you could try is set up a free webmail account with another provder for DAZ so it doesn't go through Yahoo.

Good thought... what's a good free webmail?
  • I've been using gmail with no problems. I use copy/paste to be sure to have the sender/receiver email correctly input. On the order receipts, both addresses are displayed too.

That's so nice of you!  I'm speechless as to this generous gesture.  blush

  • Thanks to the Help Desk, I did get my codes and can now catch up on the Cyber Monday deals. :)  I still don't know why Yahoo is filtering my Daz marketing and receipt emails out.  So, if anyone has an idea, I'm all ears.  Otherwise, I probably will go ahead and set up a webmail for just Daz3D confirmations.  Thanks again, Mystarra. :)

  • Gmail has not given me any problems so far
  • I have the same problem with not receiving invoice emails and gift card emails using AT&T. I used to get them, but for some reason they stopped several years ago. I contacted the help desk but was never able to get it worked out.

I receive all other emails so I finally gave up on it as it wasn’t a big deal, until I bought a gift card last year and didn’t receive the email with the code. Of course it was during a big sale, and I bought a gift card at a big percentage off in order to save more money, but then I had no gift card and no money to spend. Luckily, customer service was able to get me a code and I was able to redeem the gift card and purchase everything during the sales period.

As a result, though, I do not buy gift cards and miss out on taking advantage of getting a discounted card and then using it to buy sale items. It would be great if DAZ would send the gift card redemption code to the site message inbox as well as emailing it.

However, one day back in July I did receive a sales invoice for a purchase that I made. I got all excited because I thought maybe the problem was solved, but I have not gotten any more since. After hearing about your same issue, I looked back at the email and noticed that the sender is listed as noreply@daz. This may be why ATT is blocking them, even though I have turned off all spam filters. I have not tried it yet, but maybe if you add No Reply as a valid person to receive emails from then maybe you will start to get them.

If you try this and it works, please update.
