Prod page doesn't say, but these seem a little complex for my old CS2. These are layer styles.

I'd like to know that out too. Someday I may get around to upgrading even though I hate the whole subscription/cloud business but for now it's CS2/3 for me.

My CS2 can do .asl, but not sure about layered .asl. Things about layered styles I found on mostly on CC version.

Also I wondered how the snowy ground was made, and the snow in the pattern of the boot soles. I'm not that intuitive to figure it out.

Which images with snowy ground, some of the images are photos with overlays applied.

I can use,  and do use, layer styles in my old copy of Photoshop.     And that is pre CS     To apply layered layer style you just do more layers

As it syas on the store page

This means you can take any one of the 75 different styles of snow (including calm, blowing, flurry, blizzard, snowflake, light dust, sleet, and twirling) and, on a blank layer filled with black and set to screen mode, you can add additional instances of snow to have multiple layers of background, middle, and foreground.
The result is dynamic snow that looks unbelievably real!

Editing to add that this is an enormous file,  1.1gb on the download,   almost 2gb once unzipped.  It does say can be used on CS2  but my poor old PC froze trying to load them into PS  CS2    I may have anothe go later,  when I don't have 4 mail providers and half a dozen Daz tabs up
My PC is like me,   not as young as it used to be.

Getting older is always far better than the alternative. :)

Well, I'd have to find some pubic domain snow pics. Snow on the Gulf Coast of Texas is never going to happen. Most of us are rolling up to Thanksgiving in yoga pants and t-shirts. angry   Back home in Illinois, there's a lot of snow, branches hanging down heavy with snow, and everything is 'dust' covered.

Thanks Cho. Somewhere in my head I've clicked on styles I've bought in the past, but mostly for text effects, but they have multiple layers which seems like the same thing in this instance. Willing to give it a go then.
