I'm trying to recreate my https://www.deviantart.com/argel1200/art/Evelyn-Rose-as-Silver-Kite-Golden-Age-of-Comics-657054134 scene but with the Striga outfit (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-the-striga-ensemble-for-genesis-3-and-8-females) and Morningstar Wings, and wow, dForce seems painful to use!
I've been trying just single frame, with and without Wind, first actually horizaontal to the ground, then with gave up on fighting gravity and adjusted G3F so she's flying up. Of course, now too much stuff is pulled down too well, and the Shoulderdrapes and up in her face, meaning something's bumping them up. I alos tried gravity=0 plus Wind while flying horizontal with little luck.
So, anyone have any suggestions on some tricks I could try? Has anyone set up a similar scene? Right now, the long hours even with a top of the line rig to simulate is really souring me on the technology Could really use even a minor success right now!

Wind nodes are very tricky. I've found the best way to get the sort of look you want is to do the simulation as an animation and move the model in the direction of "flight." If you end the simulation on the frame where the figure arrives at the point you want the cape should be out behind the figure like it was flying. From there you'll likely need to fiddle to get exactly the look you want.
Ah!! That makes sense! As a non-animatror, I was thinking of it as a fixed wind tunnel, not thnking about animation tools at all!! Thanks for the tip!
I've found that in almost all cases, particularly when the appearance of movement or interaction with furniture is desire, doing the simulation in an animation works when the other ways don't.
