adjustable height skullcap product or material for G1?

Is there any sort of G1 (or autofittable or texture-based for V4/M4) hair product that I can use underneath other hair products to hide the top of the forehead that can still be seen between hair strands? Something that allows the forehead height to be adjusted heigher or lower to shadow more or less depending on bang height. I'm not describing this very well. I can of course just paint the approximate hair color onto the scalp, but I'm hoping for something a bit easier to adjust, and of course feathering it out while painting would be a challenge, so not very practical to do.
possibly I could just use some sort of very short hair as the bottom layer, but it would have to be VERY flat so as not to stick through the original hair product.

Many hair products already have a skull-cap as part of them - making the main hair transparent (cutout opacity (Iray) / Opacity (3DL) =0%) would allow you to use that with other hairs. I'm not sure however about which ones would have a forehead height adjuster (which would indeed be handy). I'm not home right now or I'd fire up DS and look through my runtime for one.
I dug through my hair and ran across "RDNA Stylez 5 - Alicia - Mega Morphing Afro Style *UPDATED*" (no store link in my product library, maybe no longer in store?) which has fits for some of the generation 3 figures and offers some adjustments. I was able to get that to work for my current render, although likely it would only work at certain angles and circumstances.
Google up a 3d product called "Master Skull Cap" aka "MSC". Comes in various fits. Sharegc has some mats that work on it.
