So I downloaded the 441.12 studio driver today and now daz crashes every time I put it in render preview mode or want to render something.
This happens in the 4.12 version and the beta with a 2080ti.
The same happens with the newest game driver. So I had to downgrade the driver to the previous one.
anyone else having this problem?

having a 1070 but no issues for me (so far)
yes same here, crashing in render preview (2080ti). Went back to the previous driver.
I was curious. I have a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and had installed the new driver the other day, so have 441.12. On 4.12.0.86 I loaded a successful render I did last week, and also loaded a HDRI that had a link saying it froze a computer as a background. No issues. Gave me a great result.
No problems so far ... after the program did its auto-update thing I went over to the mothersite and downloaded again the Study drivers though. Not sure why it'll keep auto-updating the game drivers and not Studios.
It seems that only turing GPUs (RTX series) got that problem with this new driver.
All the drivers of that newer 440ies series are causing iray crashes with the turing GPUs!
I got 2x Titan RTX and installed the earlier driver 436.48. It works fine again!
I'm on 441.08 and that works fine on my 2080 TI at least. Reluctant to go to latest now that I read this.
I downloaded and installed DAZ Studio v4.12.1.16 Pro BETA tonight and then had to update my Nvidia 431.60 drivers to 441.12 DCH (dated 4 NOV) and added an RTX2060 to the RTX2080Ti already inside and am not have any issues what-so-ever and it is SMOKIN' fast!
4.12.1.16 Beta has the latest Iray version.
With regards to NVIDIA, I've found if I have a crashy crash crash crash issue going on there is an option when the EXE first starts up to do a clean install. I think it's a check box you check and it will uninstall all previous driver info from the system and then install clean over that. Might try that out!
I've been using that feature the last couple of updates I've installed. You have to select Custom install to find that option. I also deselect the GeForce Experience. No speakers on The Beast, so I deselect the HD Audio, too.
One of the issues I was having with both 4.12.1.85 and 4.11 release was about 2GB of ram on the video card not being released by DS, even after closing the program. (Daz Studio showed up under Background Processes in the Task Manager until it finally let go of that memory. Or until I manually ended the task.) With the 441.12 driver, that's no longer an issue. Closing DS drops the memory to about 138MB immediately. All memory values are as reported by GPU-Z.
Yes, the new driver has slowed my renders, and is crashing. I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 card. I am going to try reverting to an earlier studio driver.
I've kind of stopped rendering until February because I've created a scene that looks great (in my eyes) in my viewport but I can't even CPU render with 16GB RAM even at a low resolution of 1280x720..
@Serene Night " I am going to try reverting to an earlier studio driver."
I believe the minimum driver requirement for the new Iray is still 430.86.
Haven't checked into what it is yet but just received a pop-up that there's now again another update for the drivers.
Oh goodness, I just began a new thread on this topic. Been away from DS for months, return to discover renders are super, super slow. Using 1080 FTW, driver v441.12
I have GeForce 2080 RTX and version 441.12.
Can someone be a hero by providing a link and step by step how to revert to an older driver version if that is the solution to my crashing problems?
441.12 had a relatively short shelf life, it was replaced two weeks later by 441.28, and then shortly thereafter by 441.66. It has been around for almost two months, so it must be pretty good, but I do not have an RTX card. Try the 441.66 before trying to go backwards. A new 442.19 came out this week, but haven't heard anything yet, if you're brave...
Here are instructions to roll back the driver via Device Manager in Windows 10.
