Comments

  • here is some figure i tried to load. all have big muscles...and cant change morph after loading.

  • Please use Smooth Shaded view if you are going to paste an image with nude figures.

There was a character recently released that had a non-zero default value, but it was updated. Check DIM/Connect (whichever you used to install) for updates.

  • do you know which character?

  • Alistair, probably
  • Alistair, probably

Thank you, I couldn't recall the name - though it would show as an update regardless.

  • That looks like a morph-specific JCM kicking in when it shouldn't. Try to apply the minimum pose needed to trigger the effect, then check the Currently Used group in the Parameters pane with Show Hidden Properties on in the option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab).

  • Ok I did like you said. I see several parameters but now sure what to look for or what needs change. I think it is getting over my head and something I will not be able to repair. : ( I am about to just walk away from it.

  • That's why I suggested using the minimum pose that would show the issue - the fewer bends, the fewer legitimate JCMs there will be to look through to find the problem.

  • How do i know which is wrong and what do you do to fix it? the only thing i seen was to lock the area but then it dont bend at all. sorry to be a pain and ty for your help

  • This is how this toon is loading without any bending

  • Ah, so this happens only with the morph applied?

  • looks like my daz days are done. my content file is 2 TB and to find one file is like loooking for a needle in a haystack. i do ty for you time and help. back to pen and paper...never had a problem with that. lol

    try this,

    load your figure,

then do a Save As character preset,  a dialog will come up asking if you want to save the shape, uncheck it.

then try loading this preset, all morphs should be removed from it.

not that theres anything wrong with dude's big muscles,  droolicious

  • Still not having much luck... : ( ty mush for advice.   Is there are way to just delete all genesis 8 males without messing things up worse?

  • You can uninstall things, yes - how did you install in the first place? And do you have any manually installed content (for Genesis 8 Male)?

  • all manual to external drive in one big content file. it 2TB big so opening it is overwelming. The drive crashed in june and I had sent it out for a data recovery from the manufactor of the drive. They did recovery alot of the data, but alot of folders were missing a file or two. I went back and have been trying to reinstall those that had been missing files when all hell broke loose. I think if i could remove ALL the files for genesis 8 males I could try to install everything again. Trying to save what i can but not sure about deleting that many files. I have 54 male figures for genesis 8.

  • Well, "your content directory"/data/Daz3d/Genesis 8/Male/ are the asset files - that wouldn't remove textures or use-facing files (the latter of which would of course fail without their assets) but it should clean up any conflicts if you move it out of the data folder and reinstall. I would, however, urge you to use Install Manager or Connect for the reinstallation (havng set the paths to the content directory you are using) as it is much more secure, and also more undoable via the uninstall option.

  • Ty you much...i will try checking data. Then reinstall a figure and see if that works.
