Getting a geoshell to follow a geograft

Hi all,

I was wondering what I need to do to get a geoshell to "follow" or "honor" a geograft... I found this tutorial here on the forums:

https://daz3d.com/forums/discussion/68454/simple-geoshell-tutorial

In it, there is an image of a golden mask with horns, that was made by apllying the horns as a geograft on the head. Then a geoshell was applied to give it the golden appearance.

It is mentioned that he geoshell most likely "honors" the geograft... But I haven't found such an option when I apply a geoshell to a figure, to make it "honor" applied geografts...

If somebody could please help me with this? How do I make a geoshell follow the geograft, so it covers that too?

Thanks a lot,

Me

  • As I understand it, if you add the geoshell to the figure it will also apply to the geograft that is attached to said figure.  The geoshell will then 'follow' the geograft as well as following the figure.  I don't recall that there is an option to make the geoshell 'follow' the geograft, it just does it.  Perhaps I misunderstand what you mean by 'follow' and 'honor'.

Have you tried this?  In what way does the geoshell not 'follow' or 'honor' the geograft?

  • Hi, thanks for the reply! I solved it... Classic case of user error... One does need to apply the same texture maps to the geoshell ...
