Looking For More Samurai Poses for G8
in The Commons
Hi, I'm wondering if I can get some help locating some samurai poses for both g8m and g8f for rendering. I've got some from the shop like these

https://www.daz3d.com/tengu-for-cyborg-generation-8
But still some actions are still missing like the famous seppuku in the bushido culture. Is there something similar or update version like these?

Seppuku was different between male and female samurai, and it varied from period to period, and region to region. Did you have something specific in mind like hara-kiri, ie: 'opening the belly'? Are you going by 'Holywood style' or something from history? (As for female samurai, they usually slit their own throat, but did use other methods. I don't recall ever coming across anything regarding a female samurai using hara-kiri).
That narrows it down a little. Most likely you will need a custom or modified pose, and I'm guessing you want the part of the ritual where the blade (usually a short blade, like a tanto) is pulled across the belly, starting from the left side, while in a kneeling position, with the knees apart. Or the upper torso could be folded foreward (with or without a head, depending if the samurai had a second to behead him). Ideally, you would need tradition outfit that can be posed either with the upper garments open over the belly, or peeled down around the waist, but lacking those, a kimono or similar outfit fitted as is and dForced in the final pose.
I'll see if I can come up with a pose for the basic G8M. I won't pose the hands, as they will depend on what knife (tanto/wakazashi) you use.
How does this look? In the inset (top right) there is a tanto and posed hands, to show how it can look, but in the pose I made, the fingers/thumbs are all zeroed, so you can fit your own blade. (I did the image this way so as not to violate TOS)
The zip file should be decompressed and placed in the 'Studio' folder of 'Daz 3D'. Or just put the two pose files wherever suits you! Let me know if you have problems
When you apply the pose to G8M, you may need to turn off limits.
Unrestricted use.
