Please add a sort or filter to the product library for items "owned but no longer in store"

I have 2612 items in my product library, but only 2388 of these items show up in the store. I often use the Daz plug-in to display "only items owned" so I can use the store database as a way to search through my product library and find a specific item I need for a render. Searching the store for stuff I already own is much easier than searching from the product library tab under my account.

inb4, just install everything and just use smart content in Daz Studio... well yeah, that would be fine if I had endless room to install all my content and if smart content always worked as expected, but that doesn't work so great all the time, we all know that, and I don't want to install all my content because there is a lot of stuff that I just don't use anymore.

I know most if not all of these hidden items are things which have been pulled from the store when a vendor leaves/retires, etc. I understand why this must be, but why can't we add a filter to our product library to show "only items that have been pulled from the store"? (I'm talking about a simple change to the website, not to Daz Studio)

That seems like an easy solution to a problem which I'm sure many long time Daz users face. That way I can choose to see only those 224 items missing from the store so I'm not spending hours or sometimes several days to find that one item that I know I own, but I can't remember what its called.  It sucks to have to look through 65 pages, with 40 links on each page to find one stinking item.

  • You don't need to have everything isntalled to search through Samrt Content, though you will of course need to sue the products tab (with the All isntall state filer seelcted at the bottom), and will see only the product name/thumbnail - but a right-click will let yous elect More Information which will open the read me, or a ctrl-right-click>More Information will let you open the read me or the Product Library page, in the DS browser or the system default browser.

The new version of the browser addon will soon have the ability to display (with thumbnails) all of your products, including the ones no longer in the store. It also has categorization so you can find items you're looking for even more easily. Plus you can search, etc. This feature is ready, so hopefully we'll be able to make it live soon.

True, but also a lot of older content doesn't have a read me (or rather, has nothing bar a placeholder). No method is gping to be perfect.
