LAMH conflictbut how do I uninstall the free player?

Hi, when I fire up DS it tells me that both the Player and the full libraries of LAMH are installed, and to uninstall the undesired one. I presume I need to uninstall the free player, but cannot find it anywhere, to uninstall it! Not in my Windows Programs & Features, not in my DAZ start menu folders... very frustrating! I just bought that software that will use LAMH to put fur on anything - can't find it again now so can't say what it's called. I'd like to use it; lol! Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • Did you use DAZ Install Manager to install the free LAMH player?

  • Have you checked to see if you installed with DIM?

  • Yes, to both player and program - I even uninstalled the program through DIM, and then reinstalled it. I just can't find how to uninstall the player. It doesn't seem to have registered itself anywhere, but DS is saying it's there ....

  • This is what comes up when I fire up DS....

  • It's possible I didn't use DIM to install the free player when it first came out ... but if \I installed manually I should still be able to find it in my Windows program uninstall, or in the start menu?

  • But the DIM has the player sitting in the TO INSTALL tab. So it isn't seeing it as installed. I'll install it and see if then I can UNinstall...

  • Okay, I uninstalled DS, and DIM, and then reinstalled DIM, which then discovered I needed DS and installed that - and now I have everything working. Yaay!

Just to add the actual method to this tread in case someone searches:

To remove the LAMH player after installing the full, delete the lamhPlayerPlugin.64.dll (or lamhPlayerPlugin.64.so on Mac) from the DAZ plugin folder.

    That's all that is needed.

Thanks Kendall,  I'd been having this exact same problem and your solution fixed it no sweat.

Probably the easiest Daz problem I've been able to solve to date.
