...they still show it at the Clinton St. Cinema here in Portland on Saturday nights.
Don't forget your toast.
...actually have a copy of the role play game rules for Call of Cthulhu and have played it. o several occasions. Fun game where the goal is not to die but end up insane.
oh and speaking of Cthulhu, the holidays are coming.
... I think I have that Cthulhu plush or one very similar... need to find the tree tentacles though, I like those. (Also have a corcheted Cthulhu hat/mask somewhere...)
This book is brilliant! It is fun to leave around so guests will find it....
Strange creatures are always welcome additions!
...well slowly working up a Sabrinno (a race from an old SF story idea I had). Taking time though as I have to get better with the new Strand Hair tool.and having to learn sculpting to create a couple of the facial features and ears.
Gonna' need the resources of that Titan-X to render when done.
The head with the spidery crab legs in John Carpenter's "The Thing" (Kurt Russell) was about as weird as I like my creatures to get ;).
Laurie
...should have seen John Lennon's surreal illustrations in the book of short stories and verse he wrote back in 1964, titled John Lennon: In His Own Write.
Kurt! snake plinkon(?)
I'll just drop this here..

its time for.. Callls For Cthulhu!
A head with spiders legs is pretty damn weird!
how do you pronounce that?
i been saying chew thew like he a wookie. assuming is a he.
On the weird art part of the thread, it's obviously a man with a gimick (and either a bunch of patrons, a grant, or a slew of commissions) but check for an Abrams art book called 'Carl Warner's Food Landscapes'. Possibly listed simply as 'Food Landscapes' and Carl Warner as the artist/author.
It'd representative art, but I promise it's weird.
I've always gone for "k'thoo-loo" or "ARGGH!ARGH! Noooo! AAA!!!! Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn! I serve thee!!!!"
*cough*
sorry
have another linkie - the Unspeakable Vault (of Doom)
http://www.goominet.com/unspeakable-vault/
just watch out for the Shoggies...
Why not just exclude the butt? Afterall, its the digestive tract that provides the fuel/wind and the rectum with an adjoining sphincter that provides the music. Call it a "Fleshwind" or "Breakwind" instrument and revive the old great pieces, "Chinese Firecrackers", "Butt Locrian Ala Mode", "The Three Flatulent Tenors", "In the Loo of the Mountain King"....
Seeing those videos (there's a series of them) inspired me to stage and render some fan art.
One with a "cute" figure by Sixus1...
...and another with their second model of Cthulhu...
I managed to contact the creator of those clips and he seemed to like them. (Of course, he may have just wanted to avoid hurting my feelings.)
Sincerely,
Bill
Ive always been kind of partial to DR Seuss weird creatures there was so many of them.
Dr. Seuss Character List
..love them as well.
That's the untextured version of this...
McGyver? If I were a woman, I'd ask you to father my children! I love your irreverence and sense of wit!
But as I am a middled aged version of Ernie Douglas from "My Three Sons", instead I'll simply salute you!
Sincerely,
Bill
..hmm content based on non-Euclidian geometry. Could be interesting. Wonder if it can be done with dForce?
Don't worry too much about it. Any pronunciation possible using the human mouth is wrong anyway.
think saw heard it was pronounced Cut Too Loo
Nothing to see here.
...
Love it
I like that! That's the kind of dream you get after too much beer and pizza bagels : )
Speaking of everyone's favorite Dark Elder God, this is a cool book, done in the style of Dr. Suess:
McGyver, love your Dazhulhu character!
..gotta start them off young.
