The sales seem to have gradually extended over time, so what began as a one-month sale is likely to be 5 or 6 weeks.

DAZologists estimate that by 2028, the PC+ sale will extend past the start date for March Madness; by 2037, it will run until the end of September, forcing the PA sale back to February of the following year. Eventually, each sale will last for more than ten years, and the sales will run continuously, in alternate decades.

I can predict flash deals or grab deals coming soon. Gift card sale is a prominent indication of it.

Does a gift card sale precede flash deals, or new G8 figure/bundle releases?

Or is this just a crumb thrown to the exhausted and penniless PA Sale buyers, aimed at convincing us to keep spending for another week, because "with the discounted store credit, it's really a bargain"?

Looking forward to PC sale as well. I got everything I want from the PA sale but there are some DOs and PCs I'm eyeing.

Hmmm, well I'm just here to spend money so either's fine. I had some Utilite PA in my cart but not those are off. I need some puffy winter coats for the Santa Mall Scene I just bought. Oh, but for some weird reason Utilite's Trucker's Clothes has that but with cargo pants too? They must be from New England, truckers don't dress like that down here.

The thing is, at that point DAZ Studio will have become a fullly immersive virtual world running at 256 times real world speed, with most hardcore DAZ users (usually referred to as Vickies, Trolls or Stonemasonites depending on gender) seldom emerging from their cybernetic Thomalingestion Stations long enough to recognize that they are being hit with multiple 3 month long sales every month.

  • This is my first year... what's the PC sale like?

Ah, but won't the Cyberhassetine braking mechanism keep it self limiting ?"

Not after the notorious events of the Great War of Moderation that was kicked off by the Bigger Big Stick incident of 2023.

Well it's a bit different every year (this will be my tenth) but typically there are:
new PC+ items released every day,
    more freebies,
Anniversary Special packs of bundled (often older, but not necessarily) PC+ items - some free (great for newbies looking to expand their libraries) and some at a low price (e.g. $9.99 for 8 items or so).
Also typically depp-ish discount sales on some or all DAZ Originals, larger discounts for members on new releases during the sale, ...

As I said, you can't say for sure what will be coming in a given year, but if you want a peek at last year's offering try this: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/282231/platinum-club-anniversary-2018-index

  • What I'd love to see in this year's PC+ sale is the return of "PC+ for the day" from earlier this year. That was easily the best sale feature of 2019 imo, and I'd love to see it back.

If you're fairly new to the PC+, it's great.  A lot of bundled PC+ product at crazy cheap prices as well as lots of freebies and multiple daily sales of select acategories of older PC+ items for under a buck. A lot of it will be older 3DL or Poser stuff, of course, and you'll find yourself wondering month's later why you bought some of the weirder stuff like https://www.daz3d.com/pretty-in-pink , but it's a good time to stoke up on stuff to use for kitbashing.

On the other hand, if you've been in the PC+ for a while and tend to buy what you want as it comes out, it's a bit less thriling.  The last few years they've had around 8 super bundles of product and I've usually only ened up getting the free ones as I had everythng in the others.

Well, one can say that weird stuff truely deserves to be bought, as it needs more love than "usual classic stuff".

I absolutely loved the PC+ for a Day feature during the anniversary sale, featuring PA products "donated" by the vendors for the event. It really got me excited to check the sale every day, looking to see what was being offered for $1.99.

But I absolutely hated it in the months that followed. It was always Daz Originals, and for the most part, products I'd already passed on more times than I can remember, (even when offered for free!) Although I'm sure new users loved those sales.

I'm glad Daz stopped doing those, regardless, because it felt like something really special was becoming ordinary. If Daz starts doing the PC+ for a Day as an annual feature of just the PC+ Anniversay sale, like the $9.99 bundles and the recently adopted BYOB $2.99 bundles, it will be one more reason to look forward to the anniversary sale each year, and another reason to make sure our membership is up to date by the time the sale starts! (Just my personal opinion, of course.)

...even with my frugal purchasing, I felt came out like bandit with that.
