I am also using the paid version along with the new MB browser extension which is why I'm getting the flag... I'll check it out then as it may be a false flag.
The issue is that the default render settings are outdoor, and the default lights are indoor. So for a non-technical type, the obvious workflow of "add objects, add lights, hit render" results in lights that don't seem to do anything.
If it's any consolation to us poor hobbyists I have a lot of lighting products and environmental scenes with lighting I've purchased from the DAZ 3D Store and the values they use for iRay lighting is all over the place from normal household wattages to supernova sized lumen values.
I can remember about 3 years ago when I first bought all those carnival sets from the PC+ (probably the best PC+ club bargain ever!) and when to UberIray converting everything and then got to the lights. Well I was able to use Wattage value ranging from 5 watts to 250 watts very effectively but something seems to have changed with the iRay renderer since then.
